2015 Houston Cougars Baseball Team
The 2015 Houston Cougars baseball team represented the University of Houston during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cougars played their home games at Cougar Field as a member of the American Athletic Conference. They were led by head coach Todd Whitting, in his fifth season at Houston. Previous Season In 2014, the Cougars finished the season 3rd in the American Athletic Conference with a record of 48–16, 14–9 in conference play. They went on to win the 2014 American Athletic Conference baseball tournament. In the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, the Cougars upset LSU to win the Baton Rouge Regional, before falling to Texas in two games in the Austin Super Regional. Todd Whitting
Todd Ross Whitting (born June 13, 1972) is an American college baseball coach and former player who currently serves as the head coach of the Houston Cougars baseball team. Prior to his current position, Whitting served as associate head coach for the TCU Horned Frogs under Jim Schlossnagle, where the team made their first College World Series appearance. Whitting spent all but one of the first 12 years of his adult life at Houston as a player or coach. From 1991 to 1995 (except for 1993, which was spent at Navarro Junior College), he played second base under Bragg Stockton and Rayner Noble. He graduated from Houston with a degree in kinesiology. Blinn College
Blinn College is a public junior college in Brenham, Texas, with additional campuses in Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy. Brenham is Blinn's main campus, with dormitories and apartments. History Blinn was established as Mission Institute in 1884 by the Southern German Conference of the Methodist denomination. It became coeducational in 1888 when it began admitting women. Langham Creek High School
Langham Creek High School is a high school located in an unincorporated area in Harris County, Texas, United States, near Houston. Langham Creek, which was established in 1984, is part of the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District. Several communities, including Concord Bridge, Westgate, Northglen, Copper Lakes, and parts of the Copperfield subdivision, are zoned to the school. The mascot is the "lobo", Spanish for "wolf", and the school's motto is "The Power of the Pack is the Lobo. The Power of the Lobo is the Pack." Kingwood Park High School
Kingwood Park High School (K-Park) is a high school located within the Kingwood community of Houston, Texas, United States. Kingwood Park is a part of the Humble Independent School District. On average, Kingwood Park serves approximately 1,700 students. In 2008 the school was classified as a 4A school and reclassified in 2014 as a 5A school, putting it in District 21-5A.
