2015 Cricket World Cup Officials
Officials for the 2015 Cricket World Cup were selected by the Umpire selection panel and the information was released on 2 December 2014. Umpire selection panel selected 20 umpires to officiate at the World Cup: five were from Australia, five from England, five from Asia, two each from New Zealand and South Africa and one from West Indies. It also selected five match referees for the event. The umpire selection panel consisted of Geoff Allardice (ICC General Manager - Cricket), Ranjan Madugalle (ICC Chief Match Referee), David Lloyd (former player, coach, umpire and now television commentator) and Srinivas Venkataraghavan (former elite panel umpire). 2015 Cricket World Cup
The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 11th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015, and was won by Australia. This was the second time the tournament was held in Australia and New Zealand, the first having been the 1992 Cricket World Cup. The tournament consisted of 14 teams, which were split into two pools of seven, with each team playing every other team in their pool once. The top four teams from each pool progressed to the knockout stage, which consisted of quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final. The final was between the co-hosts Australia and New Zealand. Steve Davis (umpire)
Stephen James Davis (born 9 April 1952) is a former Australian Test cricket match umpire, from South Australia. He was appointed to the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires in April 2008. Umpiring career Davis' first Test match was between Australia and New Zealand at Hobart on 27 November to 1 December 1997, a rain-affected match in which the last two New Zealand batsman held on to deny victory to Australia. Since 2002 both umpires in Test matches have been appointed from non-participating nations, by the International Cricket Council. This resulted in his last Test match involving Australia to be against New Zealand at Hobart on 22 November to 26 November 2001, a rain-affected draw. Michael Gough (cricketer)
Michael Andrew Gough (born 18 December 1979) is an English cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. Gough is an international umpire and is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, representing the England and Wales Cricket Board. Playing career Having played in two Youth Test matches in 1997, he impressed enough to become a fully fledged member of the Durham side of 1998, having previously been an occasional member of their Second XI side, and carrying on in this role for five more years. In his debut in Second XI cricket, he finished his first innings admirably, but went out in the second innings for a duck. Chris Gaffaney
Christopher Blair Gaffaney (born 30 November 1975) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played for the Otago Volts. A right-handed batsman, he played in 83 First-Class matches and 113 List-A matches. At present he serves as an international cricket umpire. Gaffaney is currently a member of the ICC Elite umpire panel and officiates in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Simon Fry
Simon Douglas Fry (born 29 July 1966) is an Australian cricket umpire. In April 2020, Fry announced his retirement from elite umpiring. Umpiring career Fry served as an international umpire in ODIs for the first time in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 26 January 2011. He stood in his first T20I in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 12 January 2011. He was selected as one of the twenty umpires to stand in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup, where was an on-field umpire in three group stage matches. Johan Cloete
Johan Cloete (born 21 July 1971) is a South African cricket umpire. He was a member of ICC International Panel of Umpires before being removed from the Panel in July 2016. He has stood in 60 One Day Internationals and 23 Twenty20 Internationals till date. He was selected as one of the twenty umpires to stand in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup and officiated in three matches as an on-field umpire during the tournament. Rod Tucker
Rodney James Tucker (born 28 August 1964) is an Australian cricket umpire, member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel and officiates in international Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He was a cricketer who played briefly for New South Wales from 1985/86 to 1987/88, before moving to Tasmania where he played from 1987/88 to 1998/99. He was also vice-captain of Tasmania from 1991/92 until 1995/96. He briefly played as Captain/Coach for the Canberra Comets in the 1999/2000 season before retiring from cricket as a player. Bruce Oxenford
Bruce Nicholas James Oxenford (born 5 March 1960) is a former Australian cricket umpire and a former cricketer. He has been an ICC international umpire since 2008, when he first umpired an ODI match. He went on to stand in his first Test match in 2010. On 26 September 2012, he was promoted to the ICC Elite Umpire Panel, the highest umpiring body in the game of cricket, replacing his fellow Australian Simon Taufel, who retired from the panel to take up a newly created ICC supervisory and training position. Nigel James Llong (born 11 February 1969) is an English cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. Until June 2020, he was a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and officiated in international matches - Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Richard Kettleborough
Richard Allan Kettleborough (born 15 March 1973) is an English international cricket umpire, and former first-class cricketer who appeared in 33 first-class matches for Yorkshire and Middlesex. He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years. Richard Illingworth
Richard Keith Illingworth (born 23 August 1963) is an English former cricketer, who is currently an umpire. The bulk of his domestic cricketing career occurred with Worcestershire, although he had a spell with Derbyshire, and overseas with Natal. He played in nine Tests and twenty five ODIs for England, including participating in the 1992 and 1996 Cricket World Cups. Several websites, mistakenly, report that he is Ray Illingworth's son but the two are not related.
