2014–15 Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2014–15 season was the 116th season of competitive league football in the history of English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers. The club competed in the second tier of the English football system, the Football League Championship, following their return to the second level after being promoted as champions from League One at the first attempt. The club finished the season in seventh position, missing out on a play-off place on goal difference. Their tally of 78 points represented the highest points tally not to earn a play-off place since the system was introduced. Wolverhampton () is a city, metropolitan borough and administrative centre in the West Midlands, England. The population size has increased by 5.7%, from around 249,500 in 2011 to 263,700 in 2021. People from the city are called "Wulfrunians". Historically part of Staffordshire, the city grew initially as a market town specialising in the wool trade. Danny Graham (footballer)
Daniel Anthony William Graham (born 12 August 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. Graham started his professional career at Middlesbrough in 2003, making his debut for the club in a Premier League match against Manchester United the following year. He later represented England at under-20 level. During his four years at Middlesbrough, Graham made just one first team start. He was loaned out to clubs in all three divisions of the Football League, before joining his final loan club Carlisle United on a two-year deal in 2007. At the end of his contract, he joined Championship side Watford, who were subsequently ordered to pay compensation. Yannick Anister Sagbo Latte (born 12 April 1988), known as Yannick Sagbo, is a professional footballer who plays as a striker. Born in France, he represented the Ivory Coast at international level. Club career Early career Sagbo was born in Marseille, France, and began his football career playing for his local side in SC Air Bel, in Marseille, before joining Monaco during the winter of 2004. Stephen Ward (footballer)
Stephen Robert Ward (born 20 August 1985) is a retired Irish professional footballer who played as a left-back and is currently assistant manager at Brackley Town. Ward began his senior career with Bohemians in his native Ireland, before moving to English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2007. Featuring regularly, he was part of their promotion to the Premier League two years later and played over 230 times for the club. Following consecutive relegation's though he was transfer listed and after spending the 2013–14 season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion he eventually left to return to the Premier League with Burnley in 2014. He spent five seasons at Turf Moor making 113 appearances for the Clarets before joining Stoke City in June 2019.
