2014–15 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2014–15 West Coast Conference men's basketball season will begin with practices in October 2014 and end with the 2015 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament at the Orleans Arena March 6–10, 2015 in Paradise, Nevada. The regular season will begin in November, with the conference schedule starting at the end of December. This will be the 30th season for WCC men's basketball, which began in the 1985–86 season when the league was known as the West Coast Athletic Conference (WCAC). It will also be the 26th season under the West Coast Conference name (the conference began as the California Basketball Association in 1952, became the WCAC in 1956, and dropped the word "Athletic" in 1989). Division I (NCAA)
NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. 2014–15 Pepperdine Waves Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Marty Wilson's fourth full season at Pepperdine and fifth including his time as interim head coach. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 18–14, 10–8 in WCC play to finish in fourth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament where they lost to Gonzaga. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Seattle. Mark Norman Few (born December 27, 1962) is an American college basketball coach who has been the head coach at Gonzaga University since 1999. David Jack Rose (born December 19, 1957) is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach of Brigham Young University's (BYU) men's basketball team. A graduate of Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas, Rose played two years at Dixie College in St. George, Utah, later becoming coach at the school. Brad Ernest Waldow (born December 30, 1991) is an American basketball player who last played for the Toyoda Gosei Scorpions of the Japanese B.League. He competed in college for the St. Mary's Gaels. Early life Waldow began playing competitive basketball in eighth grade. In his sophomore season at Ponderosa High School, he slimmed down and had a growth spurt that saw him increase his height from 6'2 to 6'7.
