The 2014–15 Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball team represented Vanderbilt University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season, 2014–15 college basketball season. The team's head coach was Melanie Balcomb, in her thirteenth season at Vanderbilt. The team played their home games at Memorial Gymnasium (Vanderbilt University), Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee, as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 15–16, 5–11 in SEC play to finish in a tie for eleventh place. They advanced to the second round of the 2015 SEC women's basketball tournament, SEC women's tournament, where they lost to Kentucky. Melanie Balcomb
Melanie Balcomb (born September 24, 1962) is an American basketball coach who is the head coach of the Ohio Dominican Panthers women's basketball team. She was previously the head coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball, Vanderbilt women's basketball team from 2002–2016. Career Balcomb attended Hightstown High School, in Hightstown, New Jersey, where she starred as a point guard for the girls' varsity basketball team from 1976 to 1980. She attended Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), where she set school records for career assists and steals, and she scored over 1,000 points in her collegiate basketball career.HHS grad coaches team to Southeastern Conference title
