2014–15 San Diego Toreros Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 San Diego Toreros men's basketball team represented the University of San Diego during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Bill Grier's eighth season at San Diego. The Toreros competed in the West Coast Conference and played their home games at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. They finished the season 15–16, 8–10 in WCC play to finish in fifth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to Pepperdine. On March 16, head coach Bill Grier was fired. He had an eight-year record of 117–144. Previous season The Toreros finished the season 18–17, 7–11 in WCC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to San Francisco. Bill Grier
William Theodore Grier (born October 19, 1963) is an American college basketball coach. He is currently an assistant coach at the University of Colorado and was formerly the head men's basketball coach at the University of San Diego. Early career Grier was born in Silverton, Oregon, and he attended Cottage Grove High School in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He began coaching freshman basketball at his alma mater in 1986. He left to attend Central Oregon Community College and Southwestern Oregon Community College, where he played basketball, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1990. College coaching career Grier coached at Creswell High School in Creswell, Oregon before becoming an assistant college coach at Gonzaga University in 1992. John R. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC. He was also a notable record producer and artist manager. Richbourg was arguably the most popular and charismatic of the four announcers at WLAC who showcased popular African-American music in nightly programs from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. (The other three were Gene Nobles, Herman Grizzard, and Bill "Hoss" Allen.) Anaheim Hills is a planned community encompassing the eastern portions of the city of Anaheim, in Orange County, California. History Prior to the development, a few scattered low-density neighborhoods existed in the area, including Peralta Hills and Mohler Loop (tracts that still exist today) that were developed primarily in the 1940s and 1950s.
