2014–15 RIT Tigers Women's Ice Hockey Season
The RIT Tigers represented the Rochester Institute of Technology in College Hockey America during the 2014-15 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. In their third year at the Division I level, the Tigers repeated as CHA Tournament champions and secured their first berth in the NCAA tournament. Offseason *August 8: It was announced by the NCAA that the RIT Tigers have passed their two-year probation and have qualified to become a full-fledged member of NCAA Division I hockey as of the 2014-15 campaign. Of note, the Tigers are now eligible to qualify for the NCAA Tournament and gain the opportunity to bid for hosting rights for future NCAA Tournaments. Waterdown is a village in Canada which since 2001 has been a community of Hamilton, Ontario. Waterdown is approximately 60 km west of downtown Toronto. On January 1, 2001 the new city of Hamilton was formed from the amalgamation of six municipalities: Hamilton, Ontario, Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, Glanbrook, and Stoney Creek. Carlisle is a community in Flamborough, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The town lies about north of Waterdown. Notable attractions The downtown of Carlisle is located at the crossroads of Carlisle and Centre Roads. The Community Centre includes an ice rink, where many events and fundraisers are held by both local churches and the Optimist Club. The surrounding grounds include a baseball diamond, tennis court, swings and a play structure. Funds for the play structure were raised by Norah Kraft and Jeff Doyle, with their children and friends from Balaclava Public School deciding on the layout of the structure.
