2014–15 Preston North End F.C. Season
The 2014–15 season was Preston North End's 127th in the Football League. It was their fourth consecutive season in the third tier of English football, League One, following failure to be promoted by play-offs the previous season for the ninth time. The season ended with Preston being promoted to the Championship via the play-offs, following a 4–0 win over Swindon Town at Wembley Stadium. Season overview In his second summer in charge Simon Grayson signed 5 players permanently – Jamie Jones, Calum Woods, Jordan Hugill, Andy Little and Kyel Reid and brought Paul Gallagher in on a season long loan. Preston also signed Callum Robinson on a two-month youth loan in September and Jermaine Beckford on a season long loan in November. Iain Hume
Iain Edward Hume (born 30 October 1983) is a Canadian football manager and former professional soccer player who played as a forward. He began his career at Tranmere Rovers in 2000, and six years later moved to Leicester City for an initial £500,000 fee. Three years later he was signed by Barnsley for £1.2 million, where he suffered a serious head injury in a match against Sheffield United. He later played for Preston North End, and was loaned to Doncaster Rovers and Fleetwood Town, where he won League One and the League Two play-offs respectively. Graham Cummins
Graham Rickard Cummins (born 29 December 1987) is a retired Irish footballer. Playing career Early career Cummins played the majority of his schoolboy football with Tramore Athletic and also had a spell with College Corinthians. Cobh Ramblers Cummins joined Cobh Ramblers in 2006 and achieved promotion with them in his second season under Stephen Henderson. He scored 11 league goals as Cobh won the First Division, and he was named in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year. He continued to play for Cobh in the Premier Division in 2008, but they were relegated that year. Ryan Croasdale
Ryan Mark Croasdale (born 26 September 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Stockport County. Club career Croasdale joined Preston North End in 2003 and made his first-team debut at the age of 19 in a Football League Trophy tie against Oldham Athletic, featuring for 45 mins in the 2–0 defeat. A month later, he joined Conference Premier side Tamworth on an emergency one-month loan deal. Croasdale only featured twice for Tamworth against Alfreton Town and Grimsby Town before returning to Preston at the end of the month. Shane Cansdell-Sherriff
Shane Lewis Cansdell-Sherriff (born 10 November 1982), also known simply as Shane Sherriff, is an Australian professional footballer. Traditionally a left or central defender, Sherriff has also been deployed on the left side of midfield. He is currently coaching at Australian football club Bankstown City. Club career Sherriff's first professional club was Leeds United, who spotted him playing for the New South Wales academy team. He spent three years at the club, but only tasted first team football on loan at Rochdale in 2002. Chris Beardsley
Christopher Kellan Beardsley (born 28 February 1984) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is the fitness coach at club Burton Albion. Beardsley played youth football with Mickleover Sports and Derby County before starting his senior career with Mansfield Town. He broke into the first team in December 2002, and spent a brief period on loan at Worksop Town in the 2003–04 season. He left Mansfield in June 2004 and joined Doncaster Rovers a month later. Jermaine Paul Alexander Beckford (born 9 December 1983) is an English Football pundit and former professional footballer who played as a striker. He began his career as a trainee at Chelsea, and played for Wealdstone, Uxbridge, Leeds United, Carlisle United, Scunthorpe United, Everton, Leicester City, Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers, Preston North End and Bury. Callum Robinson
Callum Jack Robinson (born 2 February 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Cardiff City and the Republic of Ireland national team. Robinson is a product of the Aston Villa academy. He twice played for Preston on loan from Aston Villa before joining on a permanent deal in 2016. Paul Gallagher (footballer)
Paul Gallagher (born 8 September 1984) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Glasgow, he played in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, and the Football League for Stoke City (two spells), Preston North End (four spells), Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City and Sheffield United. He scored 100 senior career goals in over 500 games and was capped once by the Scotland national team. Kyel Reid
Kyel Romane Reid (born 26 November 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Beaconsfield Town. Career West Ham Born in South London, Reid joined West Ham United in July 2004 and is a product of the West Ham United academy system. He made his full debut for the club in a 1–0 away win over West Bromwich Albion in May 2006 and made a second appearance against Tottenham Hotspur later in the same month. Andrew Little (footballer)
Andrew Little (born 12 May 1989) is a Northern Irish former footballer who played mainly as a forward. A versatile player, he could play in any outfield position, though preferred a more attacking role. He left Ballinamallard United for Rangers in 2006, where he turned professional the following year. He made a number of first team appearances in 2009–10, but was otherwise limited to youth and reserve team football until he won a loan move to Port Vale in August 2011.
