2014–15 Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Northern Kentucky Norse women's basketball team will represent Northern Kentucky University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Norse were coached by third year head coach Dawn Plitzuweit and were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 19-14, 8-6 in A-Sun play to finish in third place This was the final year the Norse are ineligible to participate in the A-Sun tournament and cannot make the NCAA Tournament due to their transition from D2 to D1. However, they were eligible to compete the 2015 Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Tournament and advance to the championship game which they lost to Florida Gulf Coast. They were invited to the Women's Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Marshall. This was their final season in the Atlantic Sun before moving to the Horizon League. Dawn Plitzuweit
Dawn Plitzuweit ( born October 31, 1972) is an American basketball coach, currently the head women's basketball coach at the University of Minnesota. Playing career Plitzuweit attended Michigan Tech between 1990–1995, but did not play basketball 1991–1992. In her freshman year she started all 29 games. Her sophomore year, 1992–1993, played in all 33 games leading Michigan Tech to a record of 30–3 scoring 12.4 points a game, 2nd on the team. Her Junior year she, once again, played in all 28 games. Her senior year she played in 29 of the 30 games that year and would finish her career with a playing record of 99–22. Greenwood, Indiana
Greenwood is a city in Johnson County, Indiana, United States. The population was 63,830 at the 2020 Census. Greenwood is located between Indiana State Road 37 and Interstate 65. The city shares a border with Indianapolis and is the most populous suburban municipality in the southern portion of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area. Highland Heights is a home rule-class city in Campbell County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 6,923 at the 2010 U.S. census. Redbird Arena
CEFCU Arena, formerly known as Redbird Arena, is a 10,200-seat multi-purpose arena located in Normal, Illinois, on the campus of Illinois State University. Built in 1989, the building is notable for its use of a Teflon-coated roof that gives off a "glow" during night events. Three Illinois State Redbirds athletic teams use the facility as their home court: men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball. The arena was renamed CEFCU Arena after the school and CEFCU agreed to a 10-year naming rights deal. Davenport University is a private university with campuses throughout Michigan and online.
