The 2014–15 FK Austria Wien season is the 103rd season in club history. They will participate, in the Bundesliga and Austrian Cup. Background Background information Austria Wien finished the 2013–14 season in fourth place and failed to qualify for a spot in Europe. The club would have gone into the Europa League if they had maintained third–place. The Club received their licence on 30 April 2014. Austria Wien signed Marco Meilinger, Mario Leitgeb, and Jens Stryger Larsen. Rubin Okotie, Tamás Priskin, and Martin Harrer returned from loan spells. However, Okotie eventually transferred to 1860 München. Pascal Grünwald, Marko Stanković, Tomáš Jun, Emir Dilaver, Kaja Rogulj, Lukas Rotpuller, Thomas Murg, and Philipp Hosiner left the club. FK Austria Wien
Fußballklub Austria Wien AG (; known in English as Austria Vienna, and usually shortened to Austria (German: Österreich) in German-speaking countries, is an Austrian association football club from the capital city of Vienna. 2014 FIFA World Cup
The 2014 FIFA World Cup was the 20th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national football teams organised by FIFA. It took place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014, after the country was awarded the hosting rights in 2007. James Holland (footballer)
James Robert Holland (born 15 May 1989) is an Australian football player who plays as a midfielder for Austria Wien in the Austrian Football Bundesliga. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Holland played youth football at the New South Wales Institute of Sport before making his professional debut for Central Coast Mariners in 2006. He went on to play for the Australian Institute of Sport before spending two seasons with Newcastle Jets. He then moved to Europe, playing in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, most notably for Austria Wien. In 2016, he returned to Australia to play for Adelaide United. Markus Suttner (born 16 April 1987) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for SK Wullersdorf. Club career Austria Wien Suttner came through the youth system at Austria Wien before making his breakthrough season at the Viennan club in his first professional season, in the 2008–09 season where he made 22 league appearances. He also made two appearances in the Austrian Cup in which they won. Heinz Lindner (; born 17 July 1990) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Belgian Pro League side Saint-Gilloise, on loan from Swiss Challenge League club Sion, and the Austria national team. Thomas Murg (; born 14 November 1994) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Greek Super League club PAOK. Kaja Rogulj (born 15 June 1986) is a Croatian retired football player who played as a defender. Club career Rogulj started his football career at the NK BŠK Zmaj Blato on the island of Korčula, before moving to the HNK Hajduk Split, where he spent most of his formative years in a generation that featured, among others, Drago Gabrić and Tomislav Bušić.
