2014–15 Everton F.C. Season
The 2014–15 season was Everton's 23rd season in the Premier League and 61st consecutive season in the top division of English football. It is also Everton's 116th season of league football and 118th season in all competitions. The club finished fifth in the previous campaign to qualify for the Europa League, which saw Everton play in Europe for the first time since the 2009–10 season. On 30 July 2014, the club signed Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for a club record £28 million. Samuel Eto'o Fils (; born 10 March 1981) is a Cameroonian football administrator and former player who is the current president of the Cameroonian Football Federation from 11 December 2021. In his prime, Eto'o was regarded by pundits as one of the best strikers in the world, and he is regarded as one of the greatest African players of all time, winning the African Player of the Year a record four times: in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010. Steven John Naismith (born 14 September 1986) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He is football development manager at Scottish club Heart of Midlothian. Naismith began his career with Kilmarnock in 2004. He spent four years with the Ayrshire side where he won the SFWA Young Player of the Year award in 2006 and the SPFA Young Player of the Year award the following season. Muhamed Bešić (; born 10 September 1992) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Ferencváros and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
