2014–15 Denver Pioneers Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Denver Pioneers men's basketball team represented the University of Denver during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pioneers, led by eighth year head coach Joe Scott, played their home games at Magness Arena and were members of The Summit League. They finished the season 12–18, 6–10 in Summit League play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of The Summit League tournament to North Dakota State. Joe Scott (basketball Coach)
Joseph Winston Scott (born July 28, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is currently in his second stint as the head coach at Air Force. Scott previously was head coach at Air Force once before, as well as at Princeton and Denver. Early life and education Growing up on Pelican Island near Toms River, New Jersey, Scott played baseball, basketball and football at Toms River High School East, where he set the school's basketball career scoring record. Scott played at point guard in high school and set a school record for career basketball points with 1,550. As a player in the mid-1980s, Scott learned the " Princeton offense," a methodical system that seeks high-percentage shots by passing until the right opportunity rather than a fast-pace offense with more shots. As a result, Scott has frequently instituted a deliberate pace as a coach, often coaching the slowest-paced team in the country. Norwalk is a city in Warren County, with some small portions extending into Polk County, in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 12,799 at the time of the 2020 census. The 2014–15 Coppin State Eagles men's basketball team represented Coppin State University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by first year head coach Michael Grant, played their home games at the Physical Education Complex and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Comcast Entertainment Television (CET) was a regional cable channel serving Comcast's cable systems in the Denver, Colorado market and in parts of the state of Utah. The channel was launched on September 1, 2004, then ceased operations in June 2018. It was seen on channel 105 (channel 5 before April 13, 2010) in the Denver and Colorado Springs markets, and on channel 6 in Utah. Moraga is a town in Contra Costa County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. The town is named in honor of Joaquín Moraga, member of the famed Californio family. As of 2020, Moraga had a total population of 16,870 people. Moraga is the home of Saint Mary's College of California. McKeon Pavilion
University Credit Union Pavilion (formerly McKeon Pavilion) is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena at Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, California. Home men's and women's basketball and volleyball games are held in the gymnasium, the team nickname being the Gaels. Many athletic camps for youths also use the gym, primarily in the summer, and other on-campus events, such as the Baccalaureate mass, are also held there. Banners commemorating successful seasons, championships and post-season appearances for all Saint Mary's sports hang on the back wall. At well-attended games, the court-level bleachers opposite the benches are reserved entirely for students. Common criticism of the gym, including by students, is its age and size. This was head coach Randy Bennett's fourteenth season at Saint Mary's. The Gaels competed in the West Coast Conference and played their home games at the McKeon Pavilion. They finished the season 21–10, 13–5 in WCC play to finish in a tie for second place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to Portland. Daniel Amigo (born September 13, 1995) is a Mexican-American-Argentine professional basketball player for Libertadores de Querétaro of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He played college basketball for the Denver Pioneers. He plays for the Mexico men's national basketball team. High school career Amigo attended Coronado High School.
