2014–15 Cincinnati Bearcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Cincinnati Bearcats women's basketball team will represent the University of Cincinnati during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The season marks the second for the Bearcats as members of the American Athletic Conference. The team, coached by head coach Jamelle Elliott in her sixth year, plays their home games at Fifth Third Arena. They finished the season 8–23, 4–14 in AAC play to finish in ninth place. Jamelle Elliott
Jamelle Renee Elliott (born May 18, 1974) is an American women's basketball coach, formerly at the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team. Early life and high school Elliott was introduced to basketball by her cousin Adrien Elliott, who Elliott looked up to as a youngster. Adrien went to H.D. Woodson Senior High School, H.D. Woodson High School in Washington DC. Elliott attended summer camp one year with Adrien, and became interested in the game. She joined her junior high school basketball team, and also joined an Amateur Athletic Union team. Jamelle wanted to follow her cousin to Woodson and get the best basketball experience so she enrolled at Woodson and traveled almost an hour-and-a-half drive each way to school "I used basketball as my way to hopefully go to college, and it worked out.” While at Woodson her basketball team won two consecutive state championships. The 2014–15 Creighton Bluejays women's basketball team represented Creighton University in the 2014–15 college basketball season. The Bank Of Kentucky Center
Truist Arena, formerly The Bank of Kentucky Center and BB&T Arena, is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky, on the campus of Northern Kentucky University. 2014–15 Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Northern Kentucky Norse women's basketball team will represent Northern Kentucky University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Norse were coached by third year head coach Dawn Plitzuweit and were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 19-14, 8-6 in A-Sun play to finish in third place This was the final year the Norse are ineligible to participate in the A-Sun tournament and cannot make the NCAA Tournament due to their transition from D2 to D1. Crosstown Classic (basketball)
The Crosstown Shootout is an annual men's college basketball game played between the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier University Musketeers. The two schools are separated by in Cincinnati, making the archrivalry one of the closest major rivalries in the country. The game was first played in 1927, and has been played every year since 1946. In recent years, the game has been sponsored by Skyline Chili. Throughout its history, the game has been played at six different venues including the Armory Fieldhouse and Fifth Third Arena on the UC campus; and the Schmidt Field House and Cintas Center on the Xavier campus. However, the majority of the games have been played at two other sites—Cincinnati Gardens and US Bank Arena. Stroh Center
The Stroh Center is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, United States. It replaced Anderson Arena as the home of the Bowling Green Falcons men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, and hosts music concerts and the university's commencement ceremonies. Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located in the Westwood Village district of Los Angeles, California, on the campus of UCLA. The 2014–15 UCLA Bruins women's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bruins, led by fourth year head coach Cori Close, play their home games at the Pauley Pavilion and were members of the Pac-12 Conference.
