2014–15 Butler Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Butler University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Chris Holtmann, who took over as interim head coach after Brandon Miller requested and was granted a medical leave of absence from the university. Holtmann was then named the permanent head coach on January 2, 2015, becoming the 23rd head coach of Butler's men's basketball team. The Bulldogs played their home games at Hinkle Fieldhouse, which has a capacity of approximately 9,100. This was Butler's second season in the Big East Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 12–6 in Big East play to finish in a tie for second place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament to Xavier. Chris Holtmann
Christopher Adam Holtmann (born November 11, 1971) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at DePaul University. Holtmann grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and started his college playing career in-state at Brescia College in Owensboro. After two seasons, he transferred to Taylor University, where he played for his final two seasons. In 1994, his senior year, he earned All-America honors and Taylor hit number one in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rankings. Holtmann got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Taylor in 1997. The next year, he became an assistant coach at Geneva College, then returned to his alma mater as an assistant in 1999. Holtmann joined Gardner-Webb's staff in 2002 and spent the next five seasons there, first as an assistant coach and then as associate head coach. 2014 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2014 Big East men's basketball tournament, officially known as the 2014 Big East Championship, was the 35th overall edition of the Big East men's basketball tournament, but the first of the current Big East Conference. It determined the recipient of the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA tournament, as well as one of the two (or more) officially recognized conference champions for the 2013–14 Big East Conference men's basketball season (like most NCAA Division I conferences, the Big East recognizes both the regular-season and tournament winners as conference champions). Lake Central High School
Lake Central High School (LCHS) is a high school in St. John, Indiana, for students in grades nine through twelve. Its students come from St. John Township which includes the towns of St. John and Dyer (generally north of 101st Ave), almost the entire town of Schererville, unincorporated areas with Crown Point postal addresses (north of 101st Ave), and the southeastern section of Griffith that is within St. John Township. Tyler Wideman (born November 18, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Nuova Pallacanestro Vigevano 1955 in Serie A2. He played college basketball at Butler University from 2014 to 2018 before playing professionally in Croatia, Israel, Hungary, and Italy. Ballard High School (Louisville, Kentucky)
Ballard High School is a high school in the eastern suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky, and is a part of the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) school district. The school opened in the fall of 1968. The first students were in grades 7- 9, and a grade was added each year as the building was expanded. This kept the school system from having to transfer upper class students from other high schools. The first class (consisting of the original freshmen) graduated in 1972.
