2014–15 BYU Cougars Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 BYU Cougars men's basketball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was head coach Dave Rose (basketball coach), Dave Rose's tenth season at BYU and the Cougars fourth season in the West Coast Conference. The Cougars once again played their home games at the Marriott Center. They finished the season 25–10, 13–5 in WCC play to finish in a tie for second place. They advanced to the championship game of the 2015 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament, WCC tournament where they lost to Gonzaga. They received an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament where they lost in the First Four to Ole Miss. Dave Rose (basketball)
David Jack Rose (born December 19, 1957) is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach of Brigham Young University's (BYU) men's basketball team. A graduate of Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas, Rose played two years at Dixie College in St. George, Utah, later becoming coach at the school. Rose then became co-captain of "Phi Slama Jama," the University of Houston's college basketball squad featuring Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon that finished as national runner-up in the 1983 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Career Dave Rose was named the head basketball coach at BYU in 2005, replacing Steve Cleveland and began the first of eleven straight 20-win seasons in 2005-06. Rose inherited a 9-21 team and immediately posted a 20-9 record, the second best turnaround in college basketball in 2005-06. Mountain View High School is a high school in Mesa, Arizona. It was established in 1976, the third public high school in Mesa. It is known for its numerous athletic and academic accomplishments. KSUB (590 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Cedar City, Utah, United States, the station is currently owned by Townsquare Media. The station is also heard on a translator, K299BU, at 107.7 FM in Cedar City. History On September 22, 1936, Harold Johnson and Leland M. Perry received a construction permit for a new 100-watt radio station to operate on 1310 kHz at Cedar City. The station was originally scheduled to open June 17, 1937, but days before opening, the tower collapsed in a construction accident, prompting the opening to be postponed to July 4. BYU Radio is a talk radio station run by Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Operating at Sirius XM channel 143 (and in northern Utah on 107.9 KUMT and 89.1-2 KBYU-HD2), it is known on-air as BYU Radio. The station features "news, current events, sports, religious and scripted programming". The Utah State Aggies are a Division I men's college basketball team that plays in the Mountain West Conference, representing Utah State University.
