2014–15 AFC Bournemouth Season
The 2014–15 season was AFC Bournemouth's 2nd season in the Football League Championship following their promotion from Football League One in 2013. On 25 October 2014 Bournemouth won 8–0 away at St Andrew's (stadium), St. Andrew's against Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham City. It was the first time that the Cherries had ever scored eight goals in a league game (barring a 10–0 win over Northampton Town F.C., Northampton Town in September 1939 which was expunged from the records after World War II broke out the next day) and they recorded their biggest winning margin in a league fixture. This season will be remembered as Bournemouth's greatest ever season. They won promotion to the Premier League, and promotion to England's top division, for the first time in their history by winning the Championship on 2 May 2015. AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth () is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the highest division of English club football. Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971. Nicknamed "The Cherries", Bournemouth have played their home games at Dean Court since 1910. Their home colours are red and black striped shirts, with black shorts and socks, inspired by that of Italian club A.C. Milan. The club competed in regional football leagues before going up from the Hampshire League to the Southern League in 1920. Simon Francis (footballer)
Simon Charles Francis (born 16 February 1985) is an English former professional footballer who is assistant first-team technical director at AFC Bournemouth. As a player he was a defender who notably played in the Premier League for AFC Bournemouth who were the final team he played for, he spent eight years with the club with five coming in the top flight. Shaun MacDonald
Shaun Benjamin MacDonald (born 17 June 1988) is a Welsh footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cymru Premier club Penybont. A product of the Swansea City youth team, he earned four caps for Wales and is the current record caps holder for the Wales Under 21 team with 25 caps. As well as Swansea, MacDonald played club football for Yeovil Town (on loan), AFC Bournemouth, Wigan Athletic, Rotherham United and Crewe Alexandra. Adam Smith (footballer, Born 1991)
Adam James Smith (born 29 April 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right back for club AFC Bournemouth. He has also represented England at under-21 level. Club career Tottenham Hotspur and loan moves Smith is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy. In August 2009, Smith joined Wycombe Wanderers on a short-term loan as cover for two injured right backs, making his Football League debut away against Charlton Athletic on 8 August 2009. Ian Harte
Ian Patrick Harte (born 31 August 1977) is an Irish football agent and former professional footballer who played as a left back. He was best known for his ability to score goals from long range, including being a free kick specialist. He began his career at Leeds United making 288 official appearances across nine seasons. Following their relegation and financial difficulties in 2004 he joined La Liga team Levante. He returned to England in 2007, featuring at a variety of clubs and winning the Championship title at Reading in 2012 and AFC Bournemouth three years later. Joe Partington
Joseph Michael Partington (born 1 April 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for National League side Aldershot Town. At under-21 level, Partington represented Wales on eight occasions between 2009 and 2012. Charlie Daniels (footballer)
Charles John Daniels (born 7 September 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Starting his career at Tottenham Hotspur, he experienced a number of loans before joining Leyton Orient. In 2012, he was signed by AFC Bournemouth, where he experienced promotion from League One and the Championship, staying with the club for the duration of the first spell in the Premier League. Brett Pitman
Brett Douglas Pitman (born 31 January 1988) is a footballer who plays as a forward for AFC Portchester. He has spent most of his career at AFC Bournemouth in two separate spells, totalling 102 goals in 301 games. After starting his career on his native island, he moved to Bournemouth as a 16-year-old and went on to become a regular in their first team, helping them avoid relegation from The Football League in 2009 and earn promotion a year later. Tokelo Anthony Rantie (born 8 September 1990) is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a striker for the South Africa national team. Harry Arter
Harry Nicholas Arter (born 28 December 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a central or defensive midfielder for club Nottingham Forest. He began his career at Charlton Athletic, progressing through the club's youth academy before making his professional debut in 2007. Marc Anthony Pugh (born 2 April 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder. He has played in the English Football League and Premier League for Bury, Shrewsbury Town, Luton Town, Hereford United, AFC Bournemouth and Hull City. Andrew Ronald Edward Surman (born 20 August 1986) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He made over 100 appearances for both Southampton and AFC Bournemouth. Surman also played for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Walsall, Norwich City and Milton Keynes Dons over the course of a 17-year professional career.
