2014 World RX Of Germany
The 2014 World RX of Germany was the ninth round of the inaugural season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Estering in Buxtehude, Lower Saxony. The event holds two World Championship records - it features the most entrants in an event (41), as well as the smallest margin of victory with Citroën driver Petter Solberg of Norway beating Audi driver Mattias Ekström of Sweden by five thousands of a second in the final. Estering is a rallycross race track situated in Buxtehude, Lower Saxony Germany. It primarily ran the German round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship until 2019. Pontus Johan Tidemand (born 10 December 1990) is a Swedish rally and rallycross driver. He is the 2017 WRC-2 champion and a previous M-Sport and Å koda Motorsport driver. Pontus is the son of Swedish rally driver Tomas Tidemand and ex-rally co-driver Maud Solberg, nowadays the wife of Norwegian rally driver Henning Solberg. Career He made his World Rally Championship début in 2012, competing in the WRC Academy. He finished third in the WRC Academy championship behind winner Elfyn Evans and José Antonio Suárez. He races primarily as a privateer in the FIA ERX Supercar Championship and sporadically in the World Rallycross Championship. The 2001 Swedish junior champion, Hedström began racing with Hedströms Motorsport in 2007.
