2014 Utah State Aggies Football Team
The 2014 Utah State Aggies football team represented Utah State University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Aggies were led by second-year head coach Matt Wells and played their home games at Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium. This was the Aggies second season as members of the Mountain West Conference in the Mountain Division. They finished the season 10–4, 6–2 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for second place in the Mountain Division. They were invited to the New Mexico Bowl where they defeated UTEP 21–6. Matt Wells (American Football)
Matthew Scribner Wells (born August 10, 1973) is an American football coach and former quarterback who most recently served as the head coach at Texas Tech Red Raiders football, Texas Tech University. Wells previously served as the offensive coordinator and then head coach at Utah State Aggies football, Utah State University, where he was named Mountain West conference coach of the year in 2013 and again in 2018. He was named head coach of Texas Tech Red Raiders football, Texas Tech on November 29, 2018. He is currently an offensive analyst under Brent Venables at Oklahoma Sooners football, Oklahoma. College playing career Wells was a redshirt freshman during Utah State's 1993 Las Vegas Bowl season. He played quarterback in 16 games during the 1994 and 1995 seasons at USU, passing for 2,013 yards and 11 touchdowns. Centennial Bank Stadium
Centennial Bank Stadium (formerly known as Liberty Bank Stadium) is located on the campus of Arkansas State University and is home to their college football team, the Red Wolves. The stadium was named after the old nickname of the school, the Indians, until the 2007 season when it was renamed ASU Stadium. The venue was again renamed in September 2012 after Liberty Bank of Arkansas donated approximately $5 million to the university, and was renamed in 2013 after Liberty Bank was bought by Home BancShares, whose trade name is Centennial Bank. The 2014 Arkansas State Red Wolves football team represented Arkansas State University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. For the fourth consecutive season, the Red Wolves were led by a first-year head coach. Blake Anderson, who was previously offensive coordinator at North Carolina, took over after Bryan Harsin left the program to become the head coach at Boise State. The Red Wolves played their home games at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Arkansas. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The 2020 census recorded the population was 52,778. Logan is the county seat of Cache County and the principal city of the Logan metropolitan area, which includes Cache County and Franklin County, Idaho.
