2014 Tour Of Qatar
The 2014 Tour of Qatar was the 13th edition of the Tour of Qatar cycling stage race. It was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Asia Tour, and was held between 9 and 14 February 2014, in Qatar. The race was won by rider Niki Terpstra, who won the opening stage of the race and held the lead throughout. Second place went to his teammate Tom Boonen, who won two stages and the points classification, while third place went to Jürgen Roelandts of the squad. The young rider classification was won by another rider, Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, while the teams classification was also won by , after five of the team's eight riders – Terpstra, Boonen, Van Keirsbulck (seventh), Stijn Vandenbergh (eighth) and Andrew Fenn (ninth) – finished in the top ten overall. Niki Terpstra
Niki Terpstra (; born 18 May 1984) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Mike Terpstra. He is the third Dutch cyclist to have won both of the cobbled Monument spring classics, Paris–Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders, after Jan Raas and Hennie Kuiper. Career Early life and career Niki Terpstra was born on 18 May 1984 in Beverwijk in the Netherlands. He was part of the silver medal-winning team in the team pursuit in the 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, together with Levi Heimans, Jens Mouris and Peter Schep. Al Wakrah
Al Wakrah ( ar, الوكرة, al-Wakra) is the capital city of the Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. The Doha Corniche ( ar, كورنيش الدوحة) is a waterfront Esplanade, promenade extending for along Doha Bay in Qatar's capital city, Doha. André Greipel (born 16 July 1982) is a German former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2002 and 2021. Since his retirement, Greipel now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Madinat ash Shamal ( ar, الشمال) is the capital city of the municipality of Al Shamal in Qatar. Mesaieed ( ar, مسيعيد, also transliterated as ''Musay'id'' and ''Umm Sa'id'') is an industrial city in Al Wakrah Municipality in the State of Qatar, approximately south of Doha. Michael Hepburn
Michael Hepburn (born 17 August 1991) is an Australian track and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is a two-time Olympics silver medalist. From Brisbane, Hepburn started competitively cycling at 14 years of age after making the change from triathlons. The Losail International Circuit or Lusail International Circuit (Arabic: حلبة لوسيل الدولية) is a motor racing circuit located just outside the city of Lusail, north of Doha, Qatar. Al Khor
Al Khor ( ar, الخور; also spelled ''Al Khawr''), officially Al Khor and Al Thakhira, is a municipality in coastal northeastern Qatar. Al Khor City, the municipal seat, is located in the northeast coast of Qatar, around from the capital, Doha and it is considered to be one of the major cities in Qatar.
