2014 Supercupa României
The 2014 Supercupa României was the 16th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The game was contested between Liga I title holders, Steaua București, and Romanian Cup winners, Astra Giurgiu. It was played at Arena Națională in Bucharest Bucharest ( , ; ro, București ) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. Gabriel Enache
Gabriel Nicolae Enache (; born 18 August 1990) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a right back or a winger for Liga I side FC U Craiova 1948. Club career Mioveni Enache scored his first Mioveni goal in a 1–1 second division draw with FCM Târgoviște on 23 August 2008. On 22 July 2011, aged 20, he recorded his first Liga I appearance in a 0–1 loss to Universitatea Cluj. Fernando Lopes dos Santos Varela (born 26 November 1987) is a Cape Verdean professional footballer who plays mainly as a centre-back for Portuguese club Casa Pia. Cornel Râpă (born 16 January 1990) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Ekstraklasa club Cracovia. Giedrius Arlauskis (born 1 December 1987) is a Lithuanian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Romanian Liga I club CS Universitatea Craiova. Constantin Budescu
Constantin Valentin Budescu (; born 19 February 1989) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward for Liga I club Petrolul Ploiești. He began his senior career at Petrolul Ploiești, amassing over 150 appearances throughout the course of six seasons before transferring to rival team Astra Ploiești in 2011. Vincent Fabien Laban Bounayre (born 9 September 1984) is a French-born naturalized Cypriot professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Laban began his career with the reserves of Nantes, where he played for three years before moving to Cypriot team Digenis Akritas Morphou. Iasmin Latovlevici ( sr-Cyrl, Јасмин Латовљевић, Jasmin Latovljević; born 11 May 1986) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a left-back.
