The 2014 women's road cycling season was the first for the Parkhotel Valkenburg Continental Team as an UCI women's team. It was the second year for the team which began as Parkhotel Valkenburg p/y Math Salden in 2013. Roster ''As of 1 January 2014. Ages as of 1 January 2014.'' Parkhotel Valkenburg Cycling Team () is a UCI Women's Continental Team based in the Netherlands, which competes in elite women's road bicycle races such as the UCI Women's World Tour. The team was established in 2013 and received an UCI licence in 2014. Slik were a Scottish pop group of the mid-1970s, most notable for their UK number 1 hit " Forever and Ever" in 1976. Initially glam rock, the band later changed their style to soft rock/ bubblegum. It was the first band with whom singer and guitarist Midge Ure began to experience musical success, before joining new wave band Ultravox. History Slik were formed as the Glasgow based band 'Salvation' in June 1970, comprising brothers Kevin McGinlay (vocals) and Jim McGinlay (bass), Nod Kerr (drums), Mario Tortolano (keyboards), and Ian Kenny (guitar). Brian Deniston replaced Ian Kenny in December 1970 and Nod Kerr departed in May 1971, followed by Tortolano and they were replaced by Matt Cairns on drums and Robin Birrel on keyboards. The 2014 Ronde van Drenthe World Cup was the 8th running of the women's Ronde van Drenthe World Cup, a women's bicycle race in the Netherlands. It was the first World Cup race of the 2014 UCI Women's Road World Cup and was held on 15 March 2014 over a distance of , starting and finishing in Hoogeveen. In the final of the race Anna van der Breggen and Iris Slappendel rode away from the chasing group. 16 km before the finish, after riding the VAM mountain for the last time, Van der Breggen rode away from Slappendel. Van der Breggen got an advantage of over 1' 30" on the chasing group. It was the Dutch Ellen van Dijk from Boels–Dolmans Cycling Team who closed about the whole gap and launched teammate Lizzie Armitstead, who rode to Van der Breggen.
