2014 NACRA Women's Sevens
The 2014 NACRA Women's Sevens was the tenth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the Campo Marte in Mexico City, Mexico on 3–4 December 2014. Eight national teams competed in the women's tournament. Mexico as the winner qualified to compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. 2013 NACRA Women's Sevens
The 2013 NACRA Women's Sevens was the ninth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the George Town which was in the Cayman Islands. It was held on 9–10 November. The stadium was the Truman Bodden Stadium as it was also a qualification tournament for the Central America and Caribbean Games which would be held in Mexico. General The teams competed in two groups on the first day of the competition in a round-robin format. After the group stage, the teams advanced to the playoff stage beginning with the quarter-finals. On the first day there were no surprises, the favored team which was the Canadian reserves then easily advanced to the finals, in which they defeated the Mexicans. The Rugby Americas North Women's Sevens, or RAN Women's Sevens, is the regional championship for women's international rugby sevens in North America and the Caribbean. The tournament is held over two days, typically on a weekend in November. It is sanctioned and sponsored by Rugby Americas North, which is the rugby union governing body for the region. Prior to 2016, it was referred to as the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens. Rugby sevens — also known as 7-a-side, or 7s — is a short form of the sport of rugby union that was first played in 1883. The first (men's) internationals took place in 1973. 2015 NACRA Women's Sevens
The 2015 NACRA Women's Sevens Championships was an Olympic qualification tournament for Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, USA on 13–14 June 2015. It was the 11th championship in a series that began in 2005. The tournament used a round-robin format, with the top team qualifying directly to the Olympics, and the second and third place teams qualifying for the Olympic Qualification Tournament.
