Szolnoki Vízilabda Sport Club is a professional water polo team based Szolnok, Hungary. Founded in 1921, it plays in OB I, the top division championship in the country, which they won on nine occasions. Norbert Madaras (born 1 December 1979 in Eger) is a Hungarian water polo player, who won the gold medal with the men's national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. He also was on the squad that claimed the title at the 2003 World Aquatics Championships and the 2013 World Aquatics Championships. Madaras won the Euro League 2007 with Pro Recco. He was a member of the Serbian teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a gold medal in 2016. Szolnok
Szolnok (; also known by other alternative names) is the county seat of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in central Hungary. A city with county rights, it is located on the banks of the Tisza river, in the heart of the Great Hungarian Plain, which has made it an important cultural and economic crossroads for centuries. Szolnok also has one of Hungary’s best waterpolo teams. Name and etymology Szolnok was named for the first steward of the city, Szaunik or Zounok. The town was first officially mentioned under the name Zounok in 1075. In the following centuries, it was recorded as Zounok, Saunic, Zounuc, and Zawnuch. Márton Szivós (born 19 August 1981) is a Hungarian water polo player. He is part of the national team since 2003 and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He is a son of István Szívós, Jr. and a grandson of István Szívós, both of whom won Olympic gold medals in water polo. Szivós served in Hungarian Army. In 2012 he received a Silver Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary. In April 2014 he suffered chest pains during a local match. Miloš Ćuk ( sr-cyr, Милош Ћук; born 21 December 1990) is a Serbian water polo player who plays for Radnički. His most notable achievement with the Serbia national water polo team are the golden medal from the 2012 European Championship held in Eindhoven and the silver medal from the 2011 World Championship in Shanghai. In 2011, he won with Partizan Raiffeisen the National Championship and National Cup of Serbia, LEN Euroleague, LEN Supercup and Eurointer League. Joseph Kayes
Joseph Henry Kayes is a professional water polo player. He was born on 3 January 1991 in New Zealand. He is of Samoan descent through his mother, as both his maternal grandparents were born in Samoa. Kayes played for the NZ Senior Men's Water Polo team in 2008. In 2009 he went to Perth where he played for the Fremantle Mariners Men's Water Polo team which won the Australian National League. In October 2009, he was playing water polo as a full professional at the Szeged club in Hungary where he stayed for four seasons. He was mentored as a Centre Forward by Tamas Molnar, a three time Olympic Gold medal winner for Hungary. Joe won 2 Hungarian Cup Gold medals with Szeged along with 3 bronze medals in the Hungarian National League.
