2014 International GT Open Season
The 2014 International GT Open season was the ninth season of the International GT Open, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It began on 3 May at the Nürburgring and finished on 2 November, at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya after eight double-header meetings, and a total of sixteen races. The overall GT Open title – determined by race results within two specific classes as well as overall results – was claimed by SMP Racing Russian Bears duo Roman Mavlanov and Daniel Zampieri, taking three class and overall race wins over the course of the season. Mavlanov and Zampieri won the championship by 10 points ahead of V8 Racing's Nicky Pastorelli and Miguel Ramos. 2014 Euroformula Open Season
The 2014 Euroformula Open Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open wheel formula racing cars that was held across Europe. The championship featured drivers competing in two-litre Formula Three racing cars built by Italian constructor Dallara which conformed to the technical regulations, or formula, for the championship. It was the first edition of the Euroformula Open Championship – following a name change in February 2014 – after five seasons at the European F3 Open Championship. It is also included a revived three-round Spanish Formula Three Championship, held within the season calendar. Sandy Stuvik dominated the championship and clinched the title with a round to spare, collecting eleven wins in sixteen races. His RP Motorsport team-mate Artur Janosz was victorious at Portimão and the Hungaroring, finishing the season as runner-up. Algarve International Circuit
The Algarve International Circuit ( pt, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve), commonly referred to as Portimão Circuit, is a race circuit located in Portimão, Algarve region, Portugal. The development includes a karting track, off-road track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments. The circuit was designed by Ricardo Pina, Arquitectos. The construction was finished in October 2008 and the circuit was homologated by both the FIM on 11 October 2008 and the FIA two days later. Fernando Monje
Fernando Monje Vicario (born 7 March 1993) is a former Spanish racing driver who competed in the World Touring Car Championship. Career Early career Monje was born in Barcelona. He began his career in karting in 2005 at the age of twelve and competed in karting until 2009. He switched to single-seaters in 2009 at the age of 16 when he debuted in the Formul'Academy Euro Series, finishing tenth in the drivers' championship. He also contested three rounds of the Spanish SEAT León Supercopa with SUNRED Engineering. For 2010, he graduated to the European F3 Open Championship with De Villota Motorsport and finished the season in sixth position. He remained in the series in 2011, but switched to the Drivex team. Drivex
Drivex is an auto racing team and school based in Spain. The team was founded by Pedro de la Rosa and Miguel Ángel de Castro in 2005 as a racing school. The racing team is run by Miguel Ángel de Castro. Kelvin Manuel Mathijs Snoeks (born 12 September 1987 in Haarlem) is a Dutch racing driver. In 2010 he competed in the FIA Formula Two Championship. Snoeks stayed in Formula Two for the 2011 season. The Ferrari 458 Italia (Type F142) is a mid-engine sports car produced by Ferrari. The F458 is the successor of the F430, and was first officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. Andrea Piccini (born 12 December 1978 in Sansepolcro) is an Italian racing driver who is the part-owner and team principal of the Iron Lynx Motorsport Lab ELMS and Italian F4 team. Single Seaters Piccini began his single seater career in 1994, when he began competing in go-kart races. In 1997, he started competing in Formula Opel Europe. He finished third in the 1998 standings.
