The third women's race of Gent–Wevelgem was a one-day women's cycle race held in Belgium on 30 March 2014. The race was rated as an UCI rating of 1.2. The race was won by the American rider, Lauren Hall. Nina Kessler (born 4 July 1988) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She competed in the 2013 UCI women's team time trial in Florence. At the 2015 Dutch National Track Championships she became Dutch champion in the women's Madison together with Kirsten Wild. Kirsten Wild
Kirsten Carlijn Wild (born 15 October 1982) is a Dutch former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2021, for eight professional teams. During her track cycling career, Wild rode at the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2020, winning a bronze medal at the latter Games, in the omnium. She won eighteen medals including nine golds at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and eighteen medals including eight golds at the UEC European Track Championships. Wild also took over 100 victories in road racing, and won two medals at the UCI Road World Championships. Career At the 2012 London Olympics Wild finished sixth in the omnium, and was a member of the Dutch team that finished sixth in the team pursuit (together with Ellen van Dijk, Amy Pieters and Vera Koedooder). Claire Alexandria Thomas (born 18 June 1986 in Los Angeles, California) is an American food enthusiast and blogger who once hosted her own ABC series ''Food for Thought with Claire Thomas'', an E/I show which was a part of the weekend morning Litton's Weekend Adventure block. Thomas was picked up by Litton Entertainment, which programs the block for ABC, after she began a food blog called ''The Kitchy Kitchen'', including her photos, videos and recipes, plus interviews with wine connoisseurs, food specialists and restaurant chefs. The food videos she produced came to the attention of Green Dot Films, which hired her to direct an advert for McDonald's in 2011. Following that she directed for Pepperidge Farm, General Mills, Del Taco and other big brands. Subsequently, Litton appointed her as the host for ''Food for Thought''. Sofie De Vuyst (born 2 April 1987) is a Belgian former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2019. Between 2010 and 2016 she competed in every UCI Road World Championships. She was voted 2019 Flandrienne of the Year (best Belgian female cyclist). In September 2019, De Vuyst tested positive for an exogenous steroid in an out of competition control. De Vuyst's positive test came on 18 September, in the week after the Belgium Tour, where she finished seventh overall and won the mountains classification, and before the UCI Road World Championships. A contract that she had signed for 2020 with was suspended as a result of her positive test. Janneke Ensing
Janneke Ensing (born 21 September 1986) is a Dutch former sportsperson, who competed in speed skating in the 2000s before becoming a cyclist, competing for seven different teams between 2009 and 2021. Career Speed skating In 2002, she was the Dutch national C-junior champion. Two years later she won a bronze medal as a B-junior. At the 2007 KNSB Dutch Single Distance Championships Ensing finished 10th over 1500 metres. She also represented her country at the 2007 Winter Universiade held in Turin where she won the gold medal at the team pursuit together with Moniek Kleinsman and Diane Valkenburg. In 2010, Ensing finished fifth in the KNSB Dutch Allround Championships. Cycling Ensing started riding a bicycle in the summer as a means of cross-training before starting to compete in cycle racing.
