2014 France Rugby Union Tour Of Australia
In June 2014, France played a three-test series against Australia as part of the 2014 mid-year rugby union tests. They played the Wallabies across the three week June International window (2–22 June), and which were part of the third year of the global rugby calendar established by the International Rugby Board, which runs through to 2019. This was France's first tour to Australia since 2009 and first series since 2008. Fixtures Squads Note: Ages, caps and clubs are as per 7 June, the first test match of the tour. Philippe Saint-André
Philippe Georges Saint-André (; born 19 April 1967) is a former French rugby union footballer and currently the manager of Top 14 side Montpellier. He earned 69 test caps for France between 1990 and 1997. His preferred position was wing but he could also play at centre. After retiring, Saint-André has found success as a rugby coach in both England and France. He was serving as director of rugby at Toulon before being announced as the successful candidate for head coach of France from 2011 to 2015. He formally took charge of the national team on 1 December 2011, and left his post on 17 October 2015 following a 13–62 loss to New Zealand. The Sydney Football Stadium, commercially known as Allianz Stadium and previously Aussie Stadium, was a football stadium in Moore Park, Sydney, Australia. Built in 1988 next to the Sydney Cricket Ground, the stadium was Sydney's premier rectangular field venue for rugby league, rugby union, and soccer. The Kangaroos, the Wallabies, and the Socceroos occasionally played at the stadium, while the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs, and Sydney FC were the ground's major tenants. The stadium usually held both National Rugby League semi finals and one preliminary final, and also held the annual pre-season Charity Shield football match between South Sydney and St George Illawarra for a number of years. Vincent Debaty
Vincent Debaty (; born 2 October 1981) is a Belgian born French rugby union footballer. He has played for France and in the Top 14 for ASM Clermont Auvergne with whom he won two Top 14 Championships in 2010 & 2017. In February 2017 it was announced that he had signed for Oyonnax Rugby who at the time were leading the Rugby Pro D2 Championship and were subsequently promoted back into the Top 14 for season 2017/18. Debaty plays as a prop. He holds dual French-Belgian citizenship. Christopher Tolofua (born 31 December 1993) is a French rugby union player who currently plays for Toulon. His regular playing position is Hooker. Club career Tolofua made his debut for Toulouse against Connacht in Hcup. He was called as a cover for Gary Botha and Akvsenti Giorgadze who were ruled out due to injury. Castres Olympique () is a French rugby union club located in the Occitanian city of Castres and is currently competing in the top level of the French league system. Guy Novès
Guy Novès (born 5 February 1954) is a former French rugby union player and most recently coach of the French national team. Born in Toulouse, Novès, who played on the wing, was capped seven times for his country, and played with Stade Toulousain from 1975 to 1987 and was a member of the team that won the Bouclier de Brennus in 1985 and 1986. He later coached the side in a tenure that lasted 22 years, when he won the French championship nine times and the Heineken Cup four times. Playing career Before playing rugby, Novès played athletics at a high level, where on 3 July 1971 he won the national 1,200 metre race in record time, 3 minutes 16 seconds.
