2014 DBL Playoffs
The 2014 DBL Playoffs was the postseason tournament of the Dutch Basketball League's (DBL) 2013–14 season. The tournament concluded with GasTerra Flames playing SPM Shoeters Den Bosch in the Final. The Playoffs started on 24 April and ended 1 June 2014. Apollo Amsterdam made the postseason tournament for the first time in club history. 2013–14 Dutch Basketball League
The 2013–14 Dutch Basketball League season was the 54th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The defending champion is Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden. GasTerra Flames from Groningen won their 4th title by beating SPM Shoeters Den Bosch 4–3 in the Finals. Teams All teams from the 2012-13 season returned. The club EiffelTowers Den Bosch changed its name to ''SPM Shoeters Den Bosch'' after their new sponsor SPM Shoes & Boots and Stepco BSW became Maxxcom BSW. During the season Rotterdam Basketbal College changed its name in ''Challenge Sports Rotterdam'' after Challenge Sports became their new main sponsor. Lucas Steijn (born August 1, 1986) is a Dutch former basketball player. Standing at 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m), Steijn usually plays as center. Tjoe de Paula (born 15 February 1982) is a Dutch-Dominican retired basketball player. Standing at 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in), de Paula played as shooting guard. Professional career De Paula started his professional career with Noordkop Den Helder in 2001. In 2010, De Paula signed with Aris Leeuwarden, where he would play for five seasons. Anthony Johnson (born September 21, 1991) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Lafayette, and signed with SPM Shoeters Den Bosch after going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft. He also played for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey. Early life and high school Johnson grew up in Folsom, California and attended Folsom High School. Tai William Evans Wesley (born May 13, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Utah State Aggies, where he was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2011. Stefan Wessels (born 13 April 1984) is a Dutch retired basketball player. He is the current General Manager of Heroes Den Bosch. Ali Fredrick Farokhmanesh (born April 16, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player and current Colorado State Rams men's basketball assistant coach. Apollohal
The Apollohal is an indoor sports hall located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Built in 1934 as a tennis hall, the complex was later designated for expositions and ice skating. Arvin Slagter (born 19 September 1985) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for the Netherlands men's national 3x3 team. Slagter also played for several other Dutch 5vs5 teams in his career, including Rotterdam, Bergen op Zoom, Leiden and Groningen.
