Taylor Townsend (born April 16, 1996) is an American professional tennis player. She reached career-high WTA rankings of world No. 61 in singles (July 2018) and No. 31 in doubles (December 2022). She also reached the doubles final of the 2022 US Open with Caty McNally. She was named the ITF Junior World Champion in 2012 for finishing the year No. 1 in the girls' rankings, making her the first American to do so since 1982. Boserup began playing tennis at age six, after her mother, a native of Denmark, enrolled her in group tennis lessons.
