2014 BWF World Junior Championships – Girls Singles
The Girls Singles tournament of the 2014 BWF World Junior Championships was held on April 13–18. The defending champion of the last edition is Akane Yamaguchi from Japan. This year, Yamaguchi managed to defend her title after beating Chinese He Bingjiao 14-21, 21-18, 21-13 in the final. This also make the title won by Japanese 3 times in a row. Natsuki Nidaira
is a Japanese badminton player. In the national event, she play for the Tonami Transportation. Career Nidaira came from the Mito, Ibaraki, and started playing badminton at aged five. Since the elementary school she has won several national championships, and in 2009, she joined the Japanese junior team. In 2013, she competed at the U-17 Asian Junior Championships, and won the girls' singles gold. After graduating from high school, she joined the Tonami Transportation team. Nidaira was part of the Japanese U-19 team, that won the mixed team bronze medal at the 2014, 2016 World Junior Championships, and in the girls' singles event in 2015. She also won the mixed team bronze at the 2015 and 2016 Asian Junior Championships. Nidaira made a debut in the senior event in 2015, and at the 2016 Korea Masters, a Grand Prix Gold tournament, she finished in the semifinals round, lose to host player Lee Jang-mi in the straight games. Mariya Mitsova ( bg, Мария Мицова; born 21 November 1996) is a Bulgarian badminton player. Mitsova represented her country at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. Reshma Karthik
Reshma ( ur, ; c.1947 – 3 November 2013), was a Pakistani folk singer. Awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Distinction), the third highest honour and civilian award in Pakistan among other honours, she is remembered for folk songs and her powerful singing voice. Born in Rajasthan, India in a nomadic Banjara household in 1947, her family relocated to Karachi after the Partition of India. Discovered by a local producer at the age of twelve while singing at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, Sindh, Reshma went on to record various folk songs for such labels as the Pakistan Radio. Brittney Shannon Tam (born 23 August 1997) is a Canadian badminton player. In 2012, she won a silver medal at the Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships in the mixed doubles event. Alina Ilgizarovna Davletova (russian: Алина Ильгизаровна Давлетова; born 17 July 1998) is a Russian badminton player. She won the mixed doubles title at the European Junior Championships in 2017 and at the European Championships in 2021.
