The 2013–14 Primera División Uruguaya, Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the 2013–14 Copa Uruguaya or the 2013–14 Campeonato Uruguayo, was the 110th season of Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 83rd in which wat is professional. CA Peñarol, Peñarol was the defending champion. Danubio F.C., Danubio won the title, their fourth league championship victory in the club's history. Teams Sixteen teams competed in the Primera División during this season. Thirteen teams remained from the 2012–13 season. C.A. Bella Vista, Bella Vista, Club Atlético Progreso, Progreso, and Central Español were relegated after accumulating the fewest points in the relegation table. Huracán Fútbol Club
Huracan (; es, Huracán; myn, Hunraqan, "one legged"), often referred to as ''U Kʼux Kaj'', the "Heart of Sky", is a Kʼicheʼ Maya god of wind, storm, fire and one of the creator deities who participated in all three attempts at creating humanity. Central Español Fútbol Club, usually known simply as Central Español is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. History The F.U.F era Together with Peñarol, Central founded FUF (Uruguayan football federation) in 1923 after being expelled from AUF. The FUF even made a parallel Uruguay national team (dissident to AUF) that played several international games based on Peñarol and Central squads. After 3 years of existence the new federation was dissolved and both teams returned to AUF. Merging Central append "Español" to its name after an agreement signed with a Spanish group in 1971. Jonathan Daniel Álvez Sagar (born 31 May 1988) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a forward for Unión de Santa Fe. Club career Uruguay Born in Vichadero, Álvez came up from River Plate's youth system, but failed to appear as a senior with the first team. In 2008, he moved to Segunda División side Boston River, scoring his first senior goal on 29 November of that year in a 1–0 home win against Rocha.
