2013–14 UNC Wilmington Seahawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina Wilmington during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks, led by fourth year head coach Buzz Peterson, played their home games at the Trask Coliseum and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 9–23, 3–13 in CAA play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the CAA tournament to Hofstra. On March 11, UNCW fired head coach Buzz Peterson after a four year record of 42–80. Buzz Peterson
Robert Bower "Buzz" Peterson Jr. (born May 17, 1963) is an American basketball executive who is the assistant general manager for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also coached college basketball, most recently as the head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. He was fired by UNC Wilmington at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Peterson was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team for four years before being fired in 2005. He previously coached a second stint at Appalachian State—he coached the 2009–10 Mountaineers, as well as the 1996 to 2000 squads. Previously, he was the men's basketball head coach at the University of Tulsa and at Coastal Carolina University, a position he held until mid-2007, when he left the program to be executive (Director of Player Personnel) with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA. Pittsford is a town in Monroe County, New York. A suburb of Rochester, its population was 30,617 at the time of the 2020 census. The Carver–Hawkeye Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Iowa City, Iowa. 2013–14 Iowa Hawkeyes Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team represented the University of Iowa in the 2013–14 college basketball season. The team was led by fourth year head coach Fran McCaffery and played their home games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. They were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 9–9 in Big Ten play to finish in sixth place. They lost in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to Northwestern. They received an invitation to the NCAA Tournament where they lost Tennessee in the first four. Last season The team finished the previous season with a record of 25-13, 9-9 in Big Ten play and finished 6th in the Big Ten. The 25 wins was the most wins in one season for the Hawkeyes since the 2005-2006 season, in which Iowa also had 25 wins. Roseboro, North Carolina
Roseboro is a town in Sampson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,191 at the 2010 census. History Roseboro was founded when the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad built a line from Fayetteville to Wilmington, and it joined Stedman, Autryville, Garland, Kerr Station and several other communities that sprang to life when depots were built and commerce came into being.
