Turkish Women's Volleyball League
Sultanlar Ligi (''Sultans League''), known for sponsorship reasons as Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in Europe, European and other international competitions. Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Eczacıbaşı are the most successful club, having won 16 championships so far. It succeeded the former Turkish Women's Volleyball Championship (1956–1984). Bahar Toksoy Guidetti (born 6 February 1988) is a Turkish volleyball player. She plays as a middle blocker. In 2024 she currently plays for Beşiktaş Ayos. She plays for the Turkish national team. Eda Erdem Dündar (, born Eda Erdem; 22 June 1987) is a Turkish professional volleyball player of Bosniak descent. She currently plays for both Fenerbahçe SK and the national team and is the captain of both teams. Eda Erdem has been playing for Fenerbahçe since 2008. Yeon-Koung Kim
Kim Yeon-koung (, ; born 26 February 1988) is a South Korean professional volleyball player and a former member of the FIVB Athletes' Commission. She is an outside hitter and the former captain of the South Korean National Team. She announced her retirement from the national team in August 2021. Kim signed a three-year contract with Fenerbahçe in 2011 after playing for Heungkuk Life in South Korea for four seasons and JT Marvelous in Japan for two seasons.
