2013–14 Oxford United F.C. Season
The 2013–14 season was Oxford United's fourth season in League Two after returning from the Conference. They finished 8th in the League, one place better than the previous season but again failing to secure a play-off place after a promising start. In the first half of the season Oxford led the table several times and were rarely outside the automatic promotion places, mainly thanks to an impressive points haul away from home (they were the last team in the top four divisions to be beaten away from home, not losing an away match in the league until defeat at Newport County in February). On 25 January 2014, with the club faltering though still in the play-off places, Chris Wilder resigned as manager to take up the reins at relegation-threatened Northampton Town. Sean Rigg
Sean Michael Rigg (born 1 October 1988) is an English former professional footballer who played on the wing or as a striker. In a 13-year career in the English Football League and National League he scored 57 goals in 477 league and cup appearances. Having graduated through the Bristol Academy of Sport, his professional career began at Bristol Rovers in 2006. He recovered from a broken jaw sustained in November 2006 to become a first-team regular in 2006–07, also appearing in the club's play-off final victory. Asa Philip Hall (born 29 November 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Torquay United. Hall turned professional with Birmingham City, but never played for their first team. He went on to play in the Football League for Boston United, Shrewsbury Town (on loan), Luton Town and Oxford United before rejoining Shrewsbury Town in 2012. He spent time on loan at Aldershot Town and back at Oxford United in 2013. He represented England at under-19 and under-20 level. Career Birmingham City Hall was born in Dudley, West Midlands. Alloa (Received Pronunciation ; educated Scottish pronunciation /ˈaloʊa/; gd, Alamhagh, possibly meaning "rock plain") is a town in Clackmannanshire in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. Recreation Park, also known as Recreation Grounds, The Recs and The Indodrill Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League team Alloa Athletic, who have played there since 1895. Ardley, Oxfordshire
Ardley is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, England, about northwest of Bicester. The parish includes the village of Fewcott, which is now contiguous with Ardley. The 2011 Census recorded the population of Ardley parish as 751. Geography and natural history The two villages of Ardley and Fewcott are on either side of a stream that rises at Fritwell, flows south to Ardley, then turns east through Stoke Lyne to Fringford. There it joins Crowell Brook, which continues east into Buckinghamshire and ultimately becomes part of the Great Ouse. The limestone quarry at Ardley has yielded a significant find of dinosaur tracks (ichnites), discovered in 1997 and thought to have been left by Megalosaurus and possibly Cetiosaurus. Some of these are on display in the dinosaur garden at the Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Deane Alfie Michael Smalley (born 5 September 1988) is an English professional footballer who is currently signed to Wythenshawe Town. His career saw him play as a striker before converting to playing as a centre-back when at Wythenshaw. Alfie James Potter (born 9 January 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays for Oxford City as a midfielder. Career Potter came through the youth team ranks at Peterborough United, after being released by Wimbledon at the age of 14, then by Millwall aged 17.
