2013–14 Oregon State Beavers Women's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Oregon State Beavers women's basketball team represented Oregon State University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Beavers, led by fourth year head coach Scott Rueck, played their games at the Gill Coliseum and were members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished with a record of 24–11 overall, 13–5 in Pac-12 play for a tie for a second-place finish. They lost in the championship game in the 2014 Pac-12 Conference women's basketball tournament to USC. They were invited to the 2014 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament which they defeated Middle Tennessee State in the first round before losing to South Carolina in the second round. Scott Rueck
Scott Michael Rueck (born July 18, 1969) is the head coach of the Oregon State University women's basketball team. Early life Rueck grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he graduated from Glencoe High School. His father had been the first boys' basketball coach at Glencoe and had also been a coach at Hillsboro High School. After high school, he attended Oregon State University in Corvallis where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science in 1991. While at OSU he started his coaching career at Santiam Christian High School in nearby Adair Village where he was an assistant with the boys' basketball team from 1989 until 1993. In 1992, he earned a master's degree from Oregon State in physical education. Coaching career In 1993, Rueck took an assistant coach position at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, with the women's basketball team. Freeport, Bahamas
Freeport is a city, district and free trade zone on the island of Grand Bahama of the northwest Bahamas. In 1955, Wallace Groves, a Virginian financier with lumber interests in Grand Bahama, was granted of pineyard with substantial areas of swamp and scrubland by the Bahamian government with a mandate to economically develop the area. Freeport has grown to become the second most populous city in the Bahamas. 2013–14 Penn State Lady Lions Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Penn State Lady Lions basketball team will represent Pennsylvania State University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Lady Lions, led by 7th year head coach Coquese Washington, play their home games at the Bryce Jordan Center and were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 24–8 overall, 13–3 in Big Ten play to share the Big Ten Regular Season title with Michigan State. They lost in the quarterfinals to Ohio State in the 2014 Big Ten Conference men's basketball tournament. They were invited to the 2014 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament which they defeated Wichita State in the first round, Florida in the second round before being eliminated by Stanford in the sweet sixteen. 2013–14 Loyola Marymount Lions Women's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Loyola Marymount Lions women's basketball team represented Loyola Marymount University in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's basketball season, 2013–14 college basketball season. The Lions, members of the West Coast Conference, were led by head coach Charity Elliott, in her 2nd season at the school. The Lions played their home games at the Gersten Pavilion on the university campus in Los Angeles, California. Before the Season Chris Elliott, husband of Charity Elliott, became a full-time assistant for the 2013–14 season after replacing Tracy Wolff midway through the 2012–13 season.
