Northampton () is a market town and civil parish in the East Midlands of England, on the River Nene, north-west of London and south-east of Birmingham. Forest Gate is a district in the London Borough of Newham, East London, England. It is located northeast of Charing Cross. Joseph Widdowson (born 28 March 1989) is an English former professional footballer who plays as a defender. He began his career with Premier League side West Ham United, spending time on loan with Rotherham United. He later signed a permanent contract with Grimsby Town which was the start of an extensive Football League career with Rochdale, Northampton Town, Dagenham & Redbridge and Leyton Orient.
