2013–14 NC State Wolfpack Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolfpack, led by third year head coach Mark Gottfried, played their home games at PNC Arena and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 22–14, 9–9 in ACC play to finish in a three way tie for seventh place. They advanced to the semifinals of the ACC tournament where they lost to Duke. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Xavier in the First Four before losing in the second round to Saint Louis. T. J. Mark Gottfried
Mark Frederick Gottfried (born January 20, 1964) is an American men's college basketball coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of the Cal State Northridge Matadors Gottfried played one season at Oral Roberts and three seasons at Alabama, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen in each of his seasons with the Crimson Tide. He spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at UCLA, including the team's 1995 NCAA championship season, three years as head coach at Murray State, eleven years as head coach at Alabama, and six seasons at North Carolina State. Early years Gottfried was born in Crestline, Ohio. He played varsity basketball at Carterville High School in Carterville, Illinois, and Carbondale High School in Carbondale, Illinois. Lorenzo Dontez Brown (born August 26, 1990) is an American-born naturalized Spanish professional basketball player for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League and the EuroLeague. High school career Brown initially attended Centennial High School in his native Roswell, Georgia (United States). He averaged 20.8 points as a senior and was named a fourth-team Parade All-American and the Georgia 5A player of the Year. Chukwunonso Nduka "BeeJay" Anya (born March 9, 1995) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for the NC State Wolfpack. He was named Atlantic Coast Conference Sixth Man of the Year in 2015. Anya represented the United States youth team at the 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, winning the gold medal. College career Anya played college basketball for NC State where he was best known for his shot blocking ability. During his sophomore season in a game against Jacksonville, he set the NC State school record for blocks in a single game with 10. Rodney O'Keith Purvis (born February 14, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who plays for KB PEJA of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague.
