They are also competing in the Hazfi Cup and AFC Champions League, and 69th year in existence as a football club. Esteghlal or Esteqlal ( fa, استقلال) is a Persian word meaning ''independence''. It is used as a prefix by many Iranian association football clubs and Armenian football clubs. Seyed Mehdi Rahmati Oskuei ( fa, سید مهدی رحمتی اسکویی; born February 3, 1983) is an Iranian football coach and former player who currently manages Aluminium Arak in the Persian Gulf Pro League. He played for the Iran national team between 2004 and 2013. Club career Early career Rahmati started his professional career with Fajr Sepasi in 2000, he stayed for four years at the club and made 40 appearances before transferring to Sepahan. Majid Saleh ( fa, مجید صالح; born 11 January 1966) is a retired Iranian football player and current coach. Early life He was born on 21 May 1965 in Tehran. His father, Mahdi was an employee of SAIPA, an Iranian auto manufacturer. He is also a member of SAIPA since 1993 and is an electronics engineer and hardware engineer. Parviz Mazloomi
Parviz Mazloomi ( fa, پرویز مظلومی, born 16 September 1954) is a former Iranian footballer who is the team manager of the Esteghlal. He played for Esteghlal and Tractor Sazi in the 1970s and 1980s. He also managed many clubs such as Saba Battery, Sanat Naft, Aboumoslem, Mes Kerman and Esteghlal.
