2013–14 Clemson Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Clemson Tigers men's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by fourth year head coach Brad Brownell, the Tigers played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 23–13, 10–8 in ACC play to finish in sixth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament where they lost to Duke. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated Georgia State, Illinois and Belmont to advance to the semifinals where they lost to SMU. Brad Brownell
Bradley Robert Brownell (born November 15, 1968) is an American college basketball coach and most recently the previous head basketball coach at Clemson University. Prior to coming to Clemson, he held the same position at Wright State and UNC Wilmington. He has most recently coached his 13th season at Clemson, losing in the first round of the NIT tournament to Morehead State. Early life Born in Evansville, Indiana, Brownell played high school basketball at William Henry Harrison High School with current Indiana Pacers assistant of player development and Indiana University player Calbert Cheaney. Brownell graduated from DePauw University in 1991, where he was a member of the basketball team and the Sigma Chi fraternity. He immediately went into coaching after graduating. The 2013–14 Davidson Wildcats men's basketball team represented Davidson College during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by 25th year head coach Bob McKillop, played their home games at the John M. Belk Arena and were members of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 15–1 in SoCon play to win the SoCon regular season championship. They advanced to the semifinals of the SoCon tournament where they lost to Western Carolina. Charleston Classic
The Charleston Classic is a three-day invitational college basketball season-opening tournament held in Charleston, South Carolina. An ESPN-owned and operated event, it is contested at TD Arena, home of the College of Charleston Cougars. Each team plays three games in four days, since the second edition the tournament has been played on a Thursday,Friday and Sunday format with a Saturday off day. TD Arena
TD Arena is a 5,100 seat multi-purpose arena in Charleston, South Carolina, United States that opened in 2008 and replaced John Kresse Arena as the home of the College of Charleston Cougars basketball and volleyball teams. The South Financial Group of Greenville purchased the naming rights to the new facility and it opened in 2008 under the Carolina First Arena name. After the 2010 sale of the corporation to Toronto Dominion Bank, the arena's name changed to TD Arena. The 2013–14 Delaware State Hornets men's basketball team represented Delaware State University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hornets, led by 14th year head coach Greg Jackson, played their home games at Memorial Hall and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 9–21, 5–11 in MEAC play to finish in a five way tie for eighth place. They lost in the first round of the MEAC tournament to Florida A&M.
