2013–14 Bengaluru FC Season
The 2013–14 Bengaluru FC season was the club's inaugural season in I-League, the top flight of Indian football, and the first season in the club's entire history. Bengaluru FC's season began in September 2013 with a game against Mohun Bagan. On 21 April 2014, Bengaluru FC won their first ever I-League title by defeating Dempo 2–4 at Fatorda Stadium, with one game remaining. Bengaluru FC created the history by being in the first team to win I-League title in its debut season. Sunil Chhetri was the joint top-scorer in the league with 14 goals. Bengaluru Football Club () is an Indian professional football club based in Bangalore, Karnataka. The club competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was established on 20 July 2013, and began its first competitive season in the I-League on 22 September the same year. Curtis Osano
Curtis Osano (born 8 March 1987) is a Kenyan footballer who plays as a defender, most recently for Farnborough. Career Early years Born in Nakuru, Kenya, Osano moved to England aged nine when his father joined the British Army. However, he didn't start playing football until the age of 13, as a student at Oak Farm School in Farnborough. Around this time he also became involved in athletics, representing Surrey in the English Schools Championships, winning silver in the triple jump. John Johnson (footballer)
John James Johnson (born 16 September 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for I-League club RoundGlass Punjab FC. A graduate of the Middlesbrough youth academy, he made his debut for the club against Chelsea. A lack of first team opportunities saw him being loaned to Football League clubs Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. Gurtej Singh "Nanna" (born 18 December 1989) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for I-League club Delhi. Personal life Born and brought up in Ropar (now known as Rupnagar) in Punjab, Gurtej took interest in football in the sixth grade, thanks to his father. A fan of Jagatjit Cotton & Textile Football Club (JCT), Gurtej's father took him to the stadiums. Singh would attend matches of JCT and enjoyed watching Baichung Bhutia and I.M. Vijayan play.
