2013–14 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2013–14 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season took place between November 2013 and concluded in March 2014. Practices began in October 2013, with conference play beginning in December, and the season ended with the 2014 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The season was the first since the split of the original Big East Conference into two separate leagues. This was the first season that Houston, Memphis, SMU, Temple, and UCF participated in American Athletic competition. It was also the final season for Louisville and Rutgers in Big East/AAC competition, as these schools left for the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big Ten Conference respectively. Houston Cougars Men's Basketball
The Houston Cougars men's basketball team represents the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, in the NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. Isaiah Sykes
Isaiah Sykes (born December 2, 1991) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. He played college basketball for the UCF Knights men's basketball team where he was named to the 2013 Conference USA First Team. He scored a career-high 36 points in a double overtime victory over Temple in the opening round of the 2014 AAC tournament. High school career Sykes played high school basketball representing Edwin C. Denby High School (Detroit, Michigan). Playing for head coach Chuck Albright, Sykes averaged 19.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists throughout his senior year. Joseph Nathaniel Jackson (born February 8, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA G League.
