2013–14 Adelaide United FC Season
The 2013–14 Adelaide United FC season was the club's ninth A-League season. It included the 2013–14 A-League season as well as other competitions of the 2013–14 football (soccer) season. In the winter transfer window, newly appointed manager Josep Gombau was quick to add Spanish flavour into the squad. He brought in fellow Spaniards Sergio Cirio and Isaías. He also added other players including Tarek Elrich and Steven Lustica, Michael Zullo for a season long loan and Brent McGrath as a four-week injury replacement player. Awer Mabil and Jordan Elsey were also promoted from the youth system, each rewarded with two-year contracts. The club also let four contracts expire; those of Iain Ramsay, Tomi Juric, Fabian Barbiero and Evan Kostopoulos. Iain Fyfe and Zenon Caravella both had their contracts cut short and terminated. Adelaide United FC
Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club participates in the A-League Men under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The club was founded in 2003 to fill the place vacated by Adelaide City and West Adelaide in the former National Soccer League (NSL), and is now the sole team from the state of South Australia in the A-League. Adelaide United's home ground is Coopers Stadium, formally Hindmarsh Stadium. Adelaide United holds the record for the largest win in an A-League game. Adelaide defeated North Queensland Fury 8–1 at Hindmarsh Stadium on 21 January 2011. Awer Mabil
Awer Bul Mabil (born 15 September 1995) is a professional soccer player who plays as a winger for La Liga club Cádiz. Born in Kenya, he represents the Australia national team at international level. Born a South Sudanese refugee in Kenya, Mabil played youth soccer at the South Australian National Training Centre and with Adelaide United. He made his senior debut for Campbelltown City, before making his debut in the A-League for Adelaide United in 2013. Early life and education Mabil was born on 15 September 1995 to South Sudanese parents in Kakuma, located in northwestern Kenya. Bruce Djite
Bruce José Djité (French pronunciation: ; born 25 March 1987) is an Australian executive and former association football (soccer) player. As a player, Djite is known for his speed, strength and good height with ball heading skills and previously played in Turkey for professional football team, Gençlerbirliği S.K. of the Süper Lig. Marcelo Carrusca
Marcelo Adrián Carrusca (; born 1 September 1983), is an Argentine-Australian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Born in La Plata, Carrusca started his professional career at Estudiantes de La Plata before moving to Turkish side Galatasaray in 2006. After spending a season on loan for Mexican club Cruz Azul, Carrusca returned to Estudiantes in 2009, playing one further season at the club and one on loan at Banfield. Osama "Ozzie" Malik ( ar, أسامة ملك ; born 30 September 1990) is an Australian professional association football, footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for Indian Super League club Odisha FC, Odisha. Michael Robert Marrone (born 27 January 1987) is an Australian soccer player who plays for Sturt Lions.
