2013 In SFL Numbered Events
2013 is the second year for Super Fight League, an Indian-based mixed martial arts (MMA) league. Whilst the SFL began holding events from February 22 with their SFL Contenders event, which are untelevised events that take place in the SFL Training Centre as a way to build up the fighters before bringing forward to a television audience, the promotion made their televised return with SFL 14 on March 29, which was headlined by two title fights between Xavier Foupa-Pokam and John Troyer for the middleweight title, and Sanja Sucevic and Colleen Schneider for the women's flyweight title. The same event was also their first on ESPN Star Sports in India. Super Fight League is a mixed martial arts promotion, based in India. The organisation was formed in 2012 by actor Sanjay Dutt and British-Indian businessman Raj Kundra, and is currently co-owned by British-Indian businessman Bill Dosanjh and British boxing champion Amir Khan (boxer), Amir Khan. Super Fight League has had 67 live televised events, with over 100million views. Michael Jerome Reece-Pagewkaassociation.com, Retrieved 28 August 2017. (born 7 April 1987) is a British kickboxer, boxer, and mixed martial artist. He is recognised in the MMA community for his unorthodox fighting style, which originated from freestyle kickboxing (points fighting) and sport karate. As of May 17, 2022, he is #2 in the Bellator Welterweight Rankings. Early life Page was born in St Mary's Hospital, London to Curtis Page Sr. and Pauline Reece, who were both Lau Gar kung fu practitioners. His father, a British Telecom employee, hailed from Trinidad while his mother, a nurse, was from Jamaica. Neeraj Goyat (born 11 November 1991) is an Indian professional boxer. He won the title of "India's most promising boxer" in 2008. He is also the first professional boxer who played three fights of twelve rounds and won it. The first Indian boxer to have made it to WBC World Rankings (Ranked 20). Priyanka "Jeet" Toshi (born 30 April 1991) is an Indian mixed martial artist and boxer based in Bahrain. She is the first female MMA fighter to represent India professionally at ONE Championship in 2012. In 2019, she became the first female professional boxer to represent Bahrain at international level. Colleen was a contestant in season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter reality competition television show.
