Malhação
''Malhação'' (, ''Young Hearts'' in English) is a Brazilian soap-opera that aired on TV Globo from 4 March 1995 to 3 April 2020. The series is targeted at a teenage audience. Each season runs for about a year with cast members changing every season. History The soap opera began in 1995, and was initially set in a fictional Gym Club called ''Malhação'' on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the setting varied each season. Although the name of the soap remained the same, it was set in the Múltipla Escolha ( en, Multiple Choice) High School for nine seasons. In the twenty-second season, the location returned to be a gym, the ''Gael's Martial Arts Gym'', placed within the art school ''Ribalta''. The following season brought the high school setting back. From the twenty-fourth season onwards, the setting was changed back to the "Academia Form". Carrossel
''Carrossel'' ( en, Carousel) is a Brazilian children's telenovela created by Íris Abravanel and written by Abel Santa Cruz. The TV show originally aired on SBT from 21 May 2012 to 26 July 2013. It is a Brazilian remake of the Mexican telenovela '' Carrusel'' (which in turn had been inspired by the Argentinean telenovela ''Jacinta Pichimahuida, la Maestra que no se Olvida''). The Telenovela was particularly successful with children and led to several spin-offs including a cartoon series and television sitcom. Films based on the novela were released, on 23 July 2015, ''Carrossel: O Filme'', and a sequel called ''Carrossel 2: O Sumiço de Maria Joaquina'', on 7 July 2016. MTV Brasil
MTV Brasil was a Brazilian over-the-air television network owned by Grupo Abril focused on the youth. The network was launched on 20 October 1990, as the first specialty television network to broadcast over-the-air, becoming the local version of MTV. It was the third MTV version launched in the world, and the first to broadcast via terrestrial television. The network headquarters was in São Paulo city, in the Avenida Professor Alfonso Bovero, 52, on the neighborhood Sumaré, which was formerly the headquarters of Rede Tupi. This building was listed by Conselho de Defesa do Patrimônio Histórico (Condephaat) as a historical heritage, becoming the first to be listed in the city. ''My Big Big Friend'' (pt: Meu Amigãozão) is a Brazilian-Canadian flash-animated children's television series created by Andrés Lieban and Claudia Koogan Breitman, co-produced by Brazilian studio 2D Lab and the Canadian company Breakthrough Animation. It had its first showing on August 9, 2009 on Discovery Kids Latin America and on May 9, 2010 on TV Brazil. It also premiered in Canada on Treehouse TV on August 9, 2010. ''Fishtronaut'' ( pt, Peixonauta) is an animated children's television series created by Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo, and produced by TV PinGuim, in association with Discovery Kids (Latin America). The series tells the story of Fishtronaut, a fish in a spacesuit, similar to reverse scuba gear, which allows him to fly and breathe out of water. He is a secret agent who, along with his friends Marina and Zeek, unravels the mysteries occurring in the Smiling Trees Park. They solve the mysteries with the help of a P.O.P. (Primary Objective Pod), a magical multicolored ball containing clues vital to the mission. Viewers are invited to dance along with the heroes to a tune, so that the P.O.P. will open and release the clues inside. The series is aimed at children ages 3–7 and debuted successfully on Discovery Kids in Latin America on 20 April 2009. ''Big Brother Brasil'' (commonly abbreviated to ''BBB'') is the Brazilian version of the Big Brother reality franchised television show based on the original Dutch television series of the same name, that was created in 1997 by John de Mol. It is the second one with more finished seasons (only after the American version) and the only one with more than 20 years of uninterrupted annual transmission in the same channel. The show is based on a group of strangers, known as housemates, living together twenty-four hours a day in the "Big Brother" house, isolated from the outside world (primarily from mass media, such as newspapers, telephones, television and the internet) while having all their steps followed by cameras around-the-clock, with no privacy for three months. Cocoricó
Cocoricó is a Brazilian children's puppet show aired on TV Cultura, which premiered on the day April 10, 1996. The character Júlio was originally derived from a Christmas special that aired in 1989 called "Banho de Aventura" (Adventure Bath) on the program Rá-Tim-Bum. When Cocoricó debuted in the 90s, the program had a similar format to Glub Glub featuring short European animated series like Pingu and Fireman Sam interspersed with simple stories featuring the puppet characters, however some special episodes debuting new characters were made. The production of the show was done until 2001, when the production team started to work in Ilha Rá-Tim-Bum. With that Cocoricó had some reruns until 2003 received a soft reboot featuring new stories and without the cartoons. ''Monica and Friends'' (known as ''Turma da Mônica'' in Brazil, ''Mónica e Amigos'' in the European Portuguese dub and ''Monica's Gang'' in past translations) is a Brazilian series of cartoons based on the comic book ''Monica and Friends'' by Mauricio de Sousa. The series runs on Cartoon Network and previously on Globo, but in 2014, Globo stopped to air the series. Six DVDs with episodes of the series were released, distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. Globo displayed the newest episodes of the DVDs. New episodes were released in nine ''Cine Gibi'' movies. New episodes are posted on the programme's official YouTube channel after they air on Cartoon Network. Episodes ''Monica and Friends'' has over 200 episodes. Almost each episode is part of each film. ''Big Brother Brasil 13'' was the thirteenth season of ''Big Brother Brasil'', which premiered January 8, 2013, and the season finale airing March 26, 2013, on the Globo television network. The show was produced by Endemol Globo and presented by Pedro Bial. The thirteenth season was officially confirmed since March 2012 as part of a millionaire contract between international Endemol and Globo, which guaranteed seasons until 2016. The grand prize was R$1.5 million with tax allowances, with a R$150,000 prize offered to the runner up and a R$50,000 prize offered to the 3rd placed housemate. The season was the first to be broadcast in HD and the first to be broadcast in 3D worldwide. As part of the twist for this season, six (seven later) former housemates re-entered the Big Brother House for another chance to win the grand prize, bringing the total number of finalists to twenty-one.
