The 2013 World Cup of Pool was the eighth edition of the tournament and was held at the York Hall, London from 17 to 22 September 2013. The event was won by the Phillipene team of Lee Vann Corteza and Dennis Orcollo. York Hall
The York Hall, officially known as York Hall Leisure Centre, is a multi-purpose indoor arena and leisure complex in Bethnal Green, London, and is situated on Old Ford Road. The building opened in 1929 with a capacity of 1,200 and is now an international boxing venue. The main hall also hosts concerts and other live events and other facilities also include a local gymnasium and a swimming pool. History The building, which was designed by the borough engineer and architect A.E. Darby, was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of York in 1929. Radosław Babica
Radosław Babica (Born 18 July 1979) is Polish professional pool player from Kielce, who reached number 12 in the World Pool-Billiard Association world rankings in 2009. Career Babica final reached the European Pool Championships final of the 9-Ball event in 2007. He later also reached the final in the 10-Ball event and three more semi-final appearances at European Championships (one each in the 8-Ball, 9-ball and 14/1 endless). On the Euro Tour his best result so far was a second place - scored by the Costa del Sol Open 2007 held in Malaga. Alexander Kazakis (Born July 16, 1991) is a Greek professional pool player. Kazakis is a former European 10-ball champion, and regular 9-ball player. In 2018, he was the number one ranked player by the World Pool-Billiard Association. Career In 2016, Kazakis won the Kremlin Cup, without losing a game. Dominic Jentsch (born 20 November 1991) is a German professional pool player. In 2006 he reached the final of the Under 17 European championships in 9-Ball. Two years later, he was again runner-up at the 2008 European championships, this time in the age group this time for straight pool, for under 19s. Christopher Melling (born 27 January 1979) is an English professional pool and snooker player and former world number 1 at World Rules British Eight-Ball. He won the WEPF World Eightball Championship twice, in 2001 and 2003. He was ranked #1 in 2003 by the World Eightball Pool Federation. Daryl Peach (born 8 March 1972) is an English professional pool player, from Lancashire, who resides in Blackpool, England. He won the 2007 WPA World Nine-ball Championship, where he defeated the Philippines' Roberto Gomez 17–15 in the final to become the first British player to win the WPA World Nine-ball Championship. Ko Pin-yi (born 31 May 1989) is a Taiwanese professional pool player. He became multiple World Champion in the disciplines of 9-ball and 10-ball in 2015. Career Ko defeated Carlo Biado in the final of the 2015 WPA World Ten-ball Championship. He then defeated Shane Van Boening in the final of the 2015 WPA World Nine-ball Championship.
