Lucy MacGregor
Lucy MacGregor (born 28 November 1986) is an English sailor. She was born in Poole, Dorset. , MacGregor is tall and weighs . She attended Bournemouth School for Girls and is a member of Poole Yacht Club. She started sailing at the age of six in Poole Harbour. MacGregor was candidate for selection for the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Yngling three-person keelboat class with crewmates Annie Lush and double Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson. Despite winning the bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships, the trio were overlooked for selection in favour of Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson who ended up winning gold in the Olympic event. In 2010 MacGregor teamed up with her younger sister Kate MacGregor, Annie Lush and Mary Rook to win gold at the ISAF women's match racing World Championship in Newport, Rhode Island, United States. Nicole Breault
Nicole Breault is American sailor who is a four-time winner of the U.S. Women’s Open Championship. As of 2021, she sails out of St. Francis Yacht Club. Sailing history Breault grew up in Old Lyme, Connecticut and graduated in 1990 as class valedictorian from Old Lyme High School. She was two years old when she started sailing, and she grew up sailing there with her parents, brother, and others. By age seven she had joined Niantic Bay Yacht Club and raced in the International 420 class in Long Island Sound and in world championships held in multiple countries. Breault was the first woman to win the national championship for the International 420, and went on to win it a second time. In her senior year of high school she was an all-state selection in girls' soccer and captained the sailing team to a state championship. In her career, she won two singles and 14 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, with 13 singles and 17 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Merel Witteveen (born 12 May 1985, in Leiden) is a sailor from the Netherlands. Witteveen represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Qingdao. With fellow crew member Annemieke Bes and Mandy Mulder as helmsman, Witteveen took Silver medal in the Yngling. Sailing career Witteveen started sailing in 1995 and competes in international level since 1999 where she started in the Optimist.
