2013 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2013 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 6–11, 2013 at the Orleans Arena in the Las Vegas-area community of Paradise, Nevada. Gonzaga, which entered the tournament as the top-ranked team in both major polls, claimed the school's 12th tournament title overall and 10th under current head coach Mark Few. Format For the second consecutive year the tournament featured a 9-team single elimination format. The 1 and 2 seeds received a bye to the semifinals while the 3 and 4 seeds received a bye to the quarterfinals. The tournament began on Wednesday, March 6 with an 8/9 game. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. The 2012–13 Saint Mary's Gaels men's basketball team represented Saint Mary's College of California during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Steve Cleveland
Steven Cornell Cleveland (born February 4, 1952) is a former American college basketball coach. He had been men's head basketball head coach at Fresno City College, BYU, and Fresno State. Early life and education Cleveland was born in Los Angeles County and raised in Fresno, California. He attended Herbert Hoover High School in Fresno, then began his college basketball career at Fresno City College before going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to England from 1971 to 1973. Cleveland returned to Fresno City College in the 1973–74 season, after which he was named the team's Most Outstanding Player and transferred to UC Irvine. At UC Irvine, Cleveland played at forward. He averaged 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds as a junior in 1974–75 and 15.0 points and 5.5 rebounds as a senior in 1975–76. Blaine Fowler is a college football and men's college basketball sports analyst in the Mountain West Conference for NBC Sports Network basketball broadcasts.
