The Men's keirin at the 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships The 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships took place in Minsk, Belarus from 20 to 24 February 2013 in the Minsk-Arena. François Pervis
François "Franck" Pervis (born 16 October 1984) is a French track cyclist. He is a former junior world champion in the team sprint and twice European under 23 champion, as well as a seven-time world champion and a holder of two world records. In 2014 he became the first track cyclist to win three individual world titles at one championship, in the keirin, 1 km and sprint. Biography Pervis joined his first cycling club, the Véloce Club de Château Gontier, in 1996. He dabbled in road, mountain biking, cyclo-cross and track cycling as a youngster and began concentrating on the track as a junior rider. He went on to win the silver medal as part of the team sprint squad at the 2001 Junior UCI Track World Championships. Hugo Haak (born 29 October 1991) is a Dutch track cyclist and revered coach. He represented his nation at the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. At the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships he won the silver medal in the team sprint. At the 2015 UEC European Track Championships he became European Champion in the team sprint. Adam Ptáčník (; born 4 December 1985 in Pardubice) is a Czech amateur track cyclist. He shared the men's sprint title with Tomáš Bábek and Denis Špička at the Czech Track Cycling Championships, and later represented the Czech Republic at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Ptacnik also won two bronze medals each in Keirin and team sprint at the 2005 European Junior Championships in Fiorenzuola, Italy. Scott Sunderland (born 16 March 1988) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Continental team . Sunderland has represented Australia at the World Cup events including at Los Angeles in 2008, where he won the 1 km time trial and at Manchester in 2009. Simon Paul van Velthooven (born 8 December 1988) is a New Zealand track racing cyclist and America's Cup sailor. Van Velthooven was born in Palmerston North in 1988. He has two younger sisters; his youngest sister, Emily, works as a journalist for Television New Zealand (TVNZ).
