2013 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships
The 2013 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships was the World Championship for cyclo-cross. It took place at Eva Bandman Park in Louisville, Kentucky, USA on Saturday, February 2, 2013. It was the first ever cyclo-cross world championship held outside of Europe. As in past years, four events were held. These world championships were mostly dominated by Belgium and Netherlands who, combined, won nine of the twelve possible medals and all of the gold medals. Schedule The original schedule was set to hold four events spread out over two days. Due to rising water levels in the Ohio River and Beargrass Creek, which were predicted to flood low-lying parts of the venue by the morning of February 3, the UCI decided on Friday, February 1 to hold all the races on Saturday, February 2. The event organizers arranged for a temporary barrier to be erected to keep floodwaters from reaching the course on Saturday. Sanne Cant (born 8 October 1990) is a Belgian Cycle sport, racing cyclist, who currently competes in cyclo-cross for UCI Cyclo-cross Team IKO–Crelan, and in road cycling for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's Continental Team . Georgia Gould
Georgia Gould (born January 5, 1980) is an American professional mountain bike, cyclocross competitor, and Olympian (2008, 2012). She has earned five career national championships – four in cross-country mountain bike in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and one in short track mountain bike in 2009. In 2012, Gould won the bronze medal at the London Olympic Games in cross country mountain bike. From 2006-2016 Gould was employed by the LUNA Pro Team. She currently resides in East Burke, Vermont with her husband, Dusty LaBarr. Emily Batty
Emily Batty (born June 16, 1988) is a Canadian cross-country mountain biker. She won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Championships. Batty is the current Pan American Games champion and was the silver medalist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She won the gold medal at the Pan Am games in Toronto in 2015 in her home country. Career Batty started racing in 1999 and raced in the Canada Cup Series by 2001. She competed for Trek World Racing in the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup season. Batty switched to the Subaru-Trek team in 2011.
