2013 Tour Of Utah
The 2013 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is the tenth edition of the Tour of Utah. Once again, the race was included on the UCI America Tour, with a UCI classification of UCI race classifications, 2.1. As such, the race is only open to teams on the UCI Pro Tour, UCI Professional Continental and UCI Continental circuits. The race took place between August 6–11, 2013 as a six-day, six-stage race, with some major differences to the prior editions, such as the elimination of the prologue, individual time trial, or team time trial. The 2013 Tour of Utah was one of six UCI-ranked stage races in the United States in 2013. After finishing high overall in previous editions, American Tom Danielson of won the overall title. 2012–13 UCI America Tour
The 2012–13 UCI America Tour was the ninth season for the UCI America Tour. The season began on 7 October 2012 with the Tobago Cycling Classic and ended on 7 September 2013 with the Bucks County Classic. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Rory Sutherland from Australia was the defending champion of the 2011–12 UCI America Tour. Janier Acevedo from Colombia was crowned as the 2012–13 UCI America Tour champion. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time. Torrey, Utah
Torrey is a town located on State Route 24 in Wayne County, Utah, United States, from Capitol Reef National Park. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 182. History The town was established in the 1880s by settlers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was initially known as Youngtown, after John Willard Young. Panguitch ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Garfield County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,520 at the 2010 census, and was estimated in 2018 to be 1,691. Cedar City is the largest city in Iron County, Utah, United States. It is located south of Salt Lake City, and north of Las Vegas on Interstate 15. Brian Head Ski Resort is a ski destination for Southern Utah and the southern California, Arizona, and Las Vegas areas. It is located 3.5 hours north of Las Vegas and four hours south of Salt Lake City. The resort is Utah's southernmost. Francisco Mancebo Pérez (born 9 March 1976) is a Spanish professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . He initially rode for team , but moved to in 2006. Mancebo is a stage race specialist, with good climbing and individual time trial performances. He was the winner of the Spanish National Road Race Championships in 2004, and finished third in the Vuelta a España. Johann Tschopp (born 1 July 1982 in Sierre) is a Swiss professional mountain bike racer. He previously competed as a professional road bicycle racer between 2004 and 2014, competing with the , , and squads. He is noted as an especially good climber since he is lightweight (1.75 m, 60 kg) and his training environment is mainly mountainous.
