The 2013 Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen is the 26th edition of the Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen, a women's cycling stage race in Germany. It is rated by the UCI as a category 2.1 race and is held between 15 and 21 July 2013. Stages Stage 1 ;15 July 2013 – Schleusingen to Schleusingen, Linda Villumsen rode away from the bunch in the final , got a 35-second lead but was pulled back by the pack 500m from the finish. Emma Johansson won the uphill finale ahead of Lizzie Armitstead and Annemiek van Vleuten. With the bonification seconds earned during sprints Johansson has a six-second lead on Van Vleuten and a nine-second lead on Armitstead. Stage 2 ;16 July 2013 – Hermsdorf to Hermsdorf, Chloe McConville and Anna-Bianca Schnitzmeier rode away together during the stage and build up a 3' 35" lead. Emma Johansson
Emma Karolina Johansson (born 23 September 1983) is a Swedish retired professional racing cyclist. Nicknamed ''Silver Emma'', Johansson accumulated many second and third places at major championships and one-day classics. In 2013 she finished the year as number one on the UCI Women's World Ranking. She won the silver medal in the women's road race at both the 2008 and 2016 Summer Olympics, as well as one silver and two bronze medals at the Road World championships. She also holds a record four podium finishes at the Tour of Flanders for Women, with one second and three third places. Despite her amassing of podium places, she won several one-day races, including Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Ronde van Drenthe, Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Comune di Cittiglio, Omloop van het Hageland, Le Samyn and the Holland Hills Classic. SD Worx () is a professional cycling team based in the Netherlands, which competes in elite road bicycle racing events such as the UCI Women's World Tour. Valentina Scandolara (born 1 May 1990) is an Italian road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's Continental Team . Career Scandolara was born in Soave, Veneto, Soave. She showed great talent in sports from a very early age, winning three National Champion titles in Cross Country running and one in Futsal, before committing full-time to Cycling. During the early stages of her professional career, she raced for Italian teams and was active on the Track and in Cyclocross, before being signed in 2014 from UCI number 1 ranked and fully commit to Road Cycling. Chloe McConville (born 1 October 1987) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She rides for the Orica–AIS team. Before becoming a cyclist, McConville was a cross-country skier, racing for the Australian national team from 2002 to 2009, and competed at the 2006 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships and the 2007 Winter Universiade.
